Expiring Contracts

#1
This might not have much bearing for a couple of months, but I was thinking that the Kings really have a bunch of expiring contracts this season and was wondering if the team plans on trying to resign any of these players. Some of them are obviously expendable and don't even play with the present injury bug the kings have, but aren't Bibby and Martin (doen't yet have a contract extension) also free agents at the end of the year? Since GP has let a lot of free agents go in recent summers, I'm concerned about losing Mike. If that was imminent I hope we could make a trade and get some talent for him (a la Peja for Ron). Maybe a Mike for Camby swap? What do you think?

Denver would do it to get back court scoring, leadership, and clutch shooter.
Sacramento would do it if they feared they couldn't resign Bibby, and also would finally get a stud up front (Great shot blocker, rebounder, and very efficient player injuries aside).

Kevin already had his option picked up. I am not sure about the expiring contracts, but no way in hell would I trade Bibby for Camby.

bibby isnt going anywhere hes making 28 million the next two years(which are player options). the only contracts that are ending this year are corliss, hart, and VP so next year 10 million will be off the books

Corliss = 6.5 Million
Potapenko = 3.6 Million
Hart = 1.68 Million

That's actually a little over 11.5 million coming off the books.

People doing the terminally overrate their own guys thing aside, Camby is just too old and brittle to be a target even if Mike forces us to move him this year. And not sure what that has to do with the enders -- we've got $11mil in enders who might have some value to a team looking ot liquidate a contract, but obviously unless that other player is KG Mike's own contract is so big that we could get 90% of the players out there just using it without the enders. Be usedul ina bigger combo deal to combine with a Mike or Brad or whoever however.

Sorry, I didn't mean to invoke vomitous results...This forum isn't too relevant during this part of the seaon anyway because if anything does happen I imagine it will be within days of the trade deadline. I was also hoping to discuss what people's thoughts are on possible moves next summer (especially given the 11+ million in expiring contracts to work with). It might be a bit premature now, but it's always fun to throw fantasy oves around and get the imagination going.
I was also thinking worst case scenario too, so at least we could get something that could help our team long term.
