I remember hearing something about the Suns offering Marios for Peha back in 03-04". I heard petrie shot it down. Stupid move buddy.

Im all for a Bibby trade or any of the bench players. Peja and Bonzi are to stay put.

We trade Bibby we truely become a lottery team. No Bibby no win right now. He knows that offense and has been one of the most consistant shooters...yes he's had a couple hiccups this year, but that does not erase his track record. If you want to argue consistancy put Peja and Mike side by side. NO comparison. Bibby is more consistant hands down.

and let hart run the point? LMFAO

He obviously means Deng would be the main piece, and we'd likely get Duhon and a couple other acquistions back. As Bibby for Deng doesn't work straight-up, and Bibby would command a good PG back. On Bibby/Deng being done, I don't see it happening.

But on the unrelated subject of Hart being the starter, I'd be fine with it. It won't happen unless Bibby's injured though. I think he could do pretty well given his 54 starts with the Bobcats, and I think this month he's starting to get used to this offense/team.

I'd be fine with it too.........................

if I were a Bobcats fan.

I do have to ask Kings113 -- what's the connection to Hart? Did you go to Syracuse by any chance? :p

I thought picking him up was a solid move in the offseason. I was briefly encouraged by his first few preseason games. But he has given us absolutely NOTHING since that time to be even remotely ok with, let alone syaing he could start.

No connection. Nah, not even in college yet ;). Why I'd be fine with it is stated after the line you and sannity have quoted. :)

I've liked some of his games so far (month and some days into the season), less than I didn't care for though. I admit I too got too excited/intrigued by him from his pre-season. Later realizing he's going to need some time to fit into the offense/team, which I think he's starting to do, slowly.

Obviously, because Deng/Duhon's salaries (I think) aren't enough for Bibby. ;)

Besides, never said it would be for Duhon either, there could be a third team involved.

You never answered that K113, I am curious myself because I see no possible reason how anyone could consider Hart as a real starter in the NBA for a team that wants to contend.

I like hart, I think he can bring nice D off the bench if used properly and in the right system but a STARTER for the Kings? I do not want to see another losing streak from our past history

well Screamin A Smith said petrie said heck no to artest for peja, and we have a game tomorrow, so unless there's a deal in the next 30 mins I don't think we're gonna see one for a while.

30 min? haha I don't think the deal will be done for the kings and I am in the middle of this. Flip flopping daily. Basically if he goes off and becomes the next MJ we messed up, if he burns another team Petrie got his palms read ahead of time and spoke with CLEO.

:)

He also told Steven A. Smith that he has NO intention of trading Peja Stojakovic. Prepare the the MAX DEAL PEOPLE!

I honestly think at this point they're being truthful about not moving Peja for Artest. All this speculation has apparently taken its toil on Peja, and I can't really blame him or the organization for trying to quell a rumor that is looking more and more like something contrived outside by people who wanted it to be true so they planted seeds in places like the Bee.

The problem is that the organization has priors. Makes it tough...

I'm not going to assume that one means the other. I will stay positive that what is best for the TEAM will be done in due course. :)

Okay.

I said why I'd be fine with it. Go back and read my second to last post, and not just the first line of the second part that was quoted by Brick and sannity (< stated this in my last post also). ;)

When did he say this? He also said Artest doesn't want to go specific places, when the last said on his location was "he'd go anywhere".

Edit: BTW, with probably any GM, especially Petrie, I'd take what was said lightly. Petrie isn't just going to truthfully tell SAS "Hell no, I'm not dealing Peja Stojakovic for Ron Artest". ;)

With 20 teams reportedly calling the Pacers up to today, I'd expect Artest dealt by early next week.

No need to get all in a TIFF about it 113 :) hahaha

I read your past post btw.

Tiff? That wasn't my intent at all, man. That's just you assuming wrong on the internet, which happens all the time (in general of course), given we aren't speaking. :p

Oh god noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Maxing Peja would cripple the franchise.

Yeah, and there wasn't so I don't think one's going to happen. I don't think the league office works on weekends so we'll be waiting till monday for one to be confirmed.

We have an official trade thread and since this thread is seeming to duplicate some of that one, I'm closing this...
