Evans twists ankle but will play (updated)

just got this in form of a twitter message

SacramentoKings

Tyreke Evans twisted his ankle in practice today. X-rays taken were negative. He is questionable for the Kings-Knicks game on Wednesday.

It's being reported by Donte Greene on Ustream that Reke will, in fact, play against the Knicks. -- VF21

As I recall, "questionable" means 75% chance of being out whereas "probable" means at least 50% chance of playing. Sounds like Tyreke won't be in action against the dreaded Knickerbockers.

Good lord. That's like three sprained ankles in his first month in the NBA. Really sucks too as I was looking forward to him torching the Knicks + now even if he plays, he might be hobbled. Also threatens a string of very winnable games here for us.

The only game I can make it to all year (being home for Thanksgiving) and he isn't playing. Great.

I hope his injury isn't serious and he can be back in full force soon

The snide part of me wanted to make some comment about how long it would be before people started to call him injury-prone. The Kings fan part of me, however, just wants to figure out why the great god Naismith hates us so much.

Does anyone know whaats going on with the Bee? Has Jason Jones taken over for Amick? Nothing against Jason Jones, but if he's now the top sports writer for the Bee, then the Bee becomes my toilet paper.

Jason Jones is an LA transplant who, when I met him, seemed very intent on making sure everyone knew Laker fans are better than Kings fans could ever be, etc. I was not impressed.

If I'm not mistaken, Sam lost his father about a week ago.

He has to miss at least 25 games per season in order to be injury prone. He hasn't even played in 25 games yet. But the fact that he has injured himself so many times in such a short period of time may become a bit of a concern. If he gets injured again before all-star break then he might be an early entry for the glass ankle league. He and Martin will have tons to talk about on the sidelines...

I'm pretty sure probable is about a 75% chance that a player is going to play, while questionable is 50/50, and doubtful is 25% chance to play.

If this is his same ankle, then it is no surpise to me. They should have just given it a little more time to heal. He only missed 1 game. That does not make him injury prone, however, it might make him a bit too eager to play, to his own detriment.
