Espn.com Kings Preview

ESPN.COM has unveiled it's predictions for the upcoming season from it's so called list of "experts." This only reaffirms my belief that Ric Bucher feels that at some point furing his life the city of Sacramento did something horrible to him and his family and that any chance he has to hate on the Kings he will. Also, pay attention to Tim Legler's analysis, specificallly the part about KT being the starter and SAR coming off the bench. I like Legs, but it just shows that he hasn't paid much attention to the Kings this preseason or perhaps he just paid attention to the starting lineup in the first preseason game against Dallas.

Also check out the Clippers Preview. Bucher says they will go to the playoffs, and Chris Sheridan picks them to finish 1st in the Division and 3rd in the West.

Ric Bucher and Chris Sheridan need to put down the crack pipe. These fools are just plain wrong on their "previews". I just dont see the Kings finishing 4th in their division and 9th in the conference. No Way No How.

Chris Sheridan - "Shareef Abdur-Rahim was a decent signing, but the guy hasn't played a playoff game in nine NBA seasons. He should make it 10 this season under Rick Adelman and whoever replaces him."

Are you kidding me???

SportsNation Speaks
Are the Kings still contenders?
43.7% If they stay completely healthy
34.6% No, that window closed after '03-04
21.7% Yes, the additions solidify that thinking

You guys need to stop reading garbage

I'd only call it garbage if you are talking solely of Sheridan and Bucher. That's rediculous. I could do a better job than Bucher at what he does.

They probably think if they make enough crazy predictions one will come true and they end up looking like they know what they're talking about. Predicting the Spurs to win doesn't really solidify status as a sports writer.

Besides BS Bucher and Silly Sheridan, their predictions are right on.

Sheridan and Bucher are a pair of morons who have absolutely no credibility. I would give the Kings 2nd pacific and 5th conference at worst, but 9th? Im an Adelman hater, but his style wont make us miss the playoffs that easy. Geez.

Although I completely disagree with Bucher and Sheridan, I don't think their predictions necessarily make them morons. The Kings are still unproven as a team, and we can't really be sure that they gel on offense. If they struggle for a while to start the season, is it really that impossible that the Clippers and Warriors could compete for the 2nd and 3rd spots in the division? I think the Kings will be fine and will end up the #2 seed in the West, but it's not that crazy to pick the Warriors and/or Clippers to possibly end up ahead of them if they struggle.

It's way too long, ONEZERO. You're just gonna have to wait until you get to a computer.

^^ oh alright. I should be able to get on a comp a little later. I'm at work so I thought I would read it now. Thanks anyways.

Just out of curiosity, doesn't your cell phone bill run just a tad high???

;)

^^^Naw hahaha. Its part of my plan. I could use AIM, email, unlimited texting, unlimited internet use all for the low amount of 20 dollars besides the original 50 dollars for my minutes plan. Haha. Its worth it though.

Ummm. Sorry, but I think the West is a grab bag. The difference between 1-5 IMO is going to be 2-4 games. The Clippers were very tough at times last year (banged up), and Kaman was occasionaly dominant against us. They're better now. Nash is the best player in the Western division and that is saying something considering Kobe Bryant is a peer. Phoenix won't sink. Golden State's preseason should not be confused with how tough they were late last season. I think they have the best offensive backcourt in all of basketball, too. The Lakers don't look too good, but Phil certainly knows how to crawl under the Kings' skin better than anyone and force them to lose their poise. He's the only coach that can make a 16 point win somehow frustrating. The good news on this front is Bonzi has always been very good against LA.

I like the Kings in the division, but they will only win if they become a very good team. That means a much better team than last season.

I agree with Marc Stein and it's pretty much the view I have been taking. Also his prediction on the standings is close to were I would be at this point pre-season.

I think all the 1st in Division/3rd in Conference people were based on the mandatory playoff position if we win the division with Amare out.

Stein seems to be the only one expecting us to not win the division, yet still be a good team.

Denver, Phoenix (now), Dallas, Houston, us = a real scramble for position. We could finsih 2nd in the conference with 56 wins, or 6th with 51. Might be that tight.

"Lead-Pipe Lock" Bucher picks us 4th in the Pacific, and to miss the playoffs completely, which would normally leave me jumping for joy since that probably means we'll probably get to the WCF at least...

...but then I see that Chad Ford was among a few giving us the highest predicton, Pac Champs, 2nd seed...

...so I'm now anxious and confused.

btw, I've noticed ESPN has decided Thomas is the starter and SAR is the bench. Has Adelman made any decision yet?

No. SAR's gonna be the starter though, no doubt in my mind.

Defensively, Bibby has really improved. He's small and can be bulldozed in the post by bigger guards, but he moves his feet well on the perimeter and, combined with Mobley, gives the Kings a competent defensive backcourt. He helped out the Kings' struggling frontcourt too, by posting a career-best rebound rate." - Hollinger

Sometimes I really wonder what games these "analysts" are watching. Sheesh.

lol atleast were not the lakers..hah.. i checked out their stats..only one commentator said they'd make the playoffs at 8th seed..lol

IMO, i dnt think the kings will have a problem gellin..i know its kinda early to tell but im guessin from what ive seen, which i admitt is only 3 games. But i have to say im proud of the passing and etc..
