I forgot that his contract becomes guaranteed in like 2 days... could be re-signed to another non-guaranteed deal. You could be right! I don't have a crystal ball. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Denver, nor would I be surprised to see him invited to our training camp. I have to keep reminding myself that zero plus zero still equals zero..
You're pissed that we waived someone who would most likely see very limited (if any) court time? I love this forum. People are so used to being upset over personnel moves that some of us are protesting the waiver of the 14th guy on the depth chart.

In their defense, I believe most are upset just from a player development perspective, not necessarily because of what he may or may not produce this upcoming season.
As has been brought up already, Wes Matthews was once in Moreland's situation as a Summer League prospect that had potential but was perceived as a bottom of the roster player. We all know how he developed. Gerald Wallace was once buried deep on the Kings bench trying to develop his jump shot and was eventually exposed to the supplemental draft as a result. A year or two later, the Kings fans that were upset about the move when it happened were proven to be right. I have no idea whether the story will end similarly for Moreland, but I can certainly understand why those that see potential in him object to the move.

However I think the team rightly felt it would have been disrespectful to Webber to expose him.
At least Moreland was a full sized big that could protect the rim. Now all we have is a bunch of 6'8"-6'7" guys behind the top 3 bigs
I've supported every move that Vlade has made thus far. But this one is short-sighted. Moreland was an investment, to be sure, but a relatively cheap one with good potential. And I don't buy the idea that his skillet was a dup of WCS. Not if you look a little closer. You're pissed that we waived someone who would most likely see very limited (if any) court time? I think we will see a veteran player signed soon. Or possiblya trade

Collison is not "insurance" for Rondo. I know that's a popular belief around here, but that's traditional thinking as in who's the starting PG and who is their backup?A trade would have to involve Collison, Cousins, Gay, or McLemore as they are the only ones eligible until December i think. I don't see this happening unless we are unloading Collison and i find that to be a huge risk as he is our insurance policy in case the Rondo signing blows up in our face.
This move doesnt make too much sense for me. Moreland looked good in SL. Why let another promising young prospect walk for nothing?
