Looks very similar to Kevin Matin's salary structure. And Okafor is probably in a similar situation compared to all other centers as Martin is to all other SGs. Very talented but outside of the elite top 5 at their positions.

Also, I think the point being made was that Okafor's contract would just about be up when we need to resign Evans, etc. Not that it dwindles in $$/year.

Okafor's deal doesn't dwindle. It actually gets larger each year.

As to BMiller, you move Noc, cuz he's REDUNDANT. Casspi, Greene and Udoka all have overlapping skill-sets to Nocioni, are cheaper and younger to boot. Why pay 7 million to Noc, when you could apply that 7 million towards Okafor and basically get him for a few million more. (YOU ALWAYS pay a premium for a quality 7 footer, they're always overpaid compared to a comparably talented guard/forward). That makes sense as Okafor brings a skill-set we currently lack and DESPERATELY need, which I think will help all 4 other players on the floor to appear like they're playing better defense.
