does this mean brockman is gone?

i really like brockman, he can bang and rebound, and he's a fan favorite. whiteside is a project and i dont believe he should be getting any time on the court yet because i don't think he's ready yet. so what do you guys think? is brockman gone?

Nope. If either picks are ahead of schedule at the end of the year it means we don't resign Dalembert or trade him a the deadline if they are way ahead.

Nah I think it means JT will get traded or packaged in a sign and trade. At the fan draft party thing they were showing Brockman off and he was speaking and stuff and I don't think they'd be doing that if they're planning to let him go. Plus if Landry starts next to DCuz then you have a hard time giving Dalembert his minutes if you also have a back up PF/C like JT. Easier to give Brockman the spair minutes from Landry/DCuz/Dally combo and give him like 15 mpg or whatever then to find another 24-30 mins for JT.

Tyreke, Beno, Donte, Jason, Cousins, Landry, Sammy, Garcia, Casspi.

We can re-sign brockman, sign whiteside and still only be at 11 players.

NBA teams are allowed 15 players to be signed and have 12 active.

Don't worry. The more big men, the merrier.

- Coach is really high on what Brockman provides for the team.

- Brockman probably doesn't have teams falling over themselves for him.

So, both those are indications he can be signed on the cheap to stay.

In the Westphal interview on KHTK a few minutes ago Paul included Brockman as a member of the team, so I dont think he's going anywhere.

When you consider that 1 of your bigs ( Landry ) could play the 3, and another big ( Dalembert ) should be traded by the deadline, and another should be sent to the DLeague (Whiteside) .. I still see room for Jon on this roster.

Coming into the draft I believe I read Petrie quoted as wanting 6 bigs.

Cousins, JT, Sammy, Landry, Whiteside, Brockman

Did I forget someone? I think Brockman is safe for now especially if he remains affordable. I don't think Dalembert will be resigned and Landry only if he accepts a backup role.

brockman will gobble up rebounds when hes on the floor now that we got big bodies that will clog lanes and actually box out their guys. before he had to battle hawes's guy half the time.

Nope, you got all 6 guys, if we keep them.

And I like all 6, for various reasons, whihc might be the first time I've ever said that about a Kings frontcourt. Maybe the 02-03 bunch. Note its not a coincidence that that was the last time we had great size, shotblocking, rebounding, etc.
