Det/Mia game 6

loopymitch

All-Star
Wade has the flu so has not been playing at his usual level but at the half Heat up by 11. Detroit started well but fell off in the second. I hope they can come back firing in the second half. It was nice to see Ben make both his FTs, but overall their FG% is just not good enough (31% to 54%).

Wade not starting the second half...

Shaq looking like old Shaq. JWill with 10 points on 5 of 5 shooting in the first half (which I like to see).

Pistons playing poorly in general, and can't seem to shoot straight. It's strange to watch from team that during the past two seasons was able to find offense when necessary, and had a very good offense during the regular season this year.

jwill will win a title before bibby.... the mavs or suns will go to the finals before the kings.... never thought i'd see the day....

me either. I wasn't even intending on these two teams to make it this far. ehh but I guess they have.

Suns just went to the finals only about 12 years ago!

If the Mavs get there they did it the right way, with DEFENSE!!!

Hopefully we follow that same path next year.

This is getting ugly for Pistons:mad: Down by 19 now. UGH!
I can deal with JWill,Zo and Wade getting rings, I like them but Haslem and Walker-NO! Shaq-HELL NO!

Wade absolutely unconscious at the end of the 3rd quarter, and rightfully told Riley that he wasn't coming out of the game at the end...he made the next two baskets on difficult shots.

JWill with a huge game so far...8 of 8 from the floor for 17 points, and even dropped in one of his 1 on 3 fast break pull up three pointers. I love watching him do well.

I can see the quotes already. "We had open shots, we just couldn't get em to go down. The Heat came out tough. They had to win this game. They didn't want to come back to Detroit. They were the better team"
And, all of them are right. The Pistons DID get open shots but they were completely off. Why didn't they go at Shaq? They feared him tonight. You could see it. They anticpated the block every time. And, where was Chauncey? Mr. Big Shot. He hasn't shown up in these Playoffs at all. What a sad thing to watch drawn out as it was. I hate to see Shaq in the Championships. I don't want to see that little Gary Payton get a ring. And I certainly don't want Riley to get another one. This is just sad. Go West!!!!

So, judging by this game, my only hope of Cuban not getting a ring is in either rooting for a team I don't like (Suns) or a team I can't stand (Heat).

That's like being on a plane that's about to crash in the ocean, and your only two choices are to stay in the plane and drown or jump and let the crash kill you.

they're giving out the eastern champ trophy, and the miami fans just booed the pistons. classy!

these finals are dead to me. dead!

So can Derek Fisher, notice any correlation? ;)

Sure, but a little different when said PG comes out in the biggest game in his career and is a major reason why you get to the Finals -- 10-10 FG at one point?

i hope miami wins it all.... i hate all the other teams..... and jason williams should get a RING!

Meh. I don't like any of the teams, Miami included. And, with respect to Williams, I said it before, and I'll say it again: I don't want to see anybody from that team get a ring before Webber. If that makes me petty... so be it.

WTG, Jason!!!

I don't care if Shaq's in the finals again. It's nothing special to him. It is special, however, to Wade, to Jason, to Zo and to Pat Riley. And it shuts up Rasheed Wallace.

Mr. Big Shot tonight was none other than JWill, not Chauncey Billups. Kudos, White Chocolate.

Pistons were just garbage on the offensive end in this series. Ugly basketball. It's hard to watch a professional team shoot the ball that poorly.

Flip, hope you enjoyed your 64 wins. Whose next to coach the Pistons?

Okay, I don't feel like getting into a debate about who deserves it and who doesn't... but why is it special to Pat Riley? He's been there, like, eight times already.

When this team was put together, they looked like a disaster on paper. Who would have thought they would have meshed well enough to make it this far?

Why do I have to justify my congratulations to the Heat? I'm glad for them. Different strokes for different folks. Does every single thing have to be contentious?

To the point of taking the less bitter poison. Of the three, I would prefer the Suns, then the Heat and never the Cuban's.

yeah, Miami is definitely not even close to my favorite team, but, I mean come on. I'd rather go for Miami who hasn't won a title in like how many years.. than go for some dirty Dallas team.

But then there's Shaq who's in the finals and he's been there enough. Ugh, I hate seeing him there.

So what did shaq say about Koby at the end of the game? My daughter was crying and I missed it. lol

Something about his best friend? and then they asked him who that was and he said Koby?

I wasn't asking you to justify your congratulations; I was just asking you to clarify why making it to the Finals isn't special for Shaquille O'Neal, who's now been there six times, but it is for Pat Riley, who's now been there eight times?

Congrats to the Heat for knockin Detroit out. Some new blood in the finals would do me a world of good. Detroit played perhaps the ugliest game i have ever seen. No offense or defense and Miami just simply hit everything in sight. Congrats to J-Will for his first ever NBA Finals and all the other Heat players who havent been there before. Shaq has to lead the way now more than ever.

Wait, wait, wait... what does how long they've gone without a title have to do with anything? By *that* logic, you'd have to root for the Mavericks over the Heat, since their team is eight years older than the Heat, and they haven't won a title, either.

AFAIC, the *only* good thing about this year's Finals is that *one* team is, necessarily, going to win their first Championship in franchise history... I'm just not at all thrilled with the candidates.
