Successful ScenarioDue
to Sacramento and Memphis being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Sacramento and Memphis had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Why the Kings do it:
SAR/Kenny is kind of a log jam because they both want to start. Shareef isn't really a good defensive player and he's a pretty bad rebounder, but he's a good offensive player. We get a roster spot by doing a 3 for 2 trade and we clear salary. Warrick is athletic and he's becoming a 4. He's a pretty smart player and a rookie with a lot of potential. Stro Swift has a deal that's 1 year shorter than SAR's(I think Stro comes off the year after KMart and the same year as Ron). He's very athletic as we all know and I think he could be decent as a back up under a guy like Musselman. Also get a first round pick as long as the Grizz aren't top 10 in the lottery.
Why the Grizz do it:
Stro Swift doesn't really fit there and they already have another athletic young big man(Alexander Johnson who had a good game today vs Chicago). With Gasol out until around Christmas they are going to need some inside scoring and when he gets back they can field a SAR/Gasol frontcourt. Gasol would make up for SAR's defensive weakness and poor rebounding while SAR could complement Gasol by being the 2nd option he's never really had with his usualy 15.5/6.5. Hart gives them another point guard and Woods has a better chance of making their roster and getting PT because they have no center.
