Well now that the Lakers are eliminated, they have NO reason to win and every reason to try and sink as low as possible. I would not be suprised to see Kobe out for both Kings games...

YEA!!!! This time I'm yellow, finally I get to see a game on ABC but we still should start a petition or everybody email them saying how crappy their "selection" process is!!!

ahh crap,I got shafted again.... The logic behind that map is flawed, just because someone is geographically closer to Indiana or NY doesn't automatically make that person a Knicks or Pacers fan. Aghhhhhh stupid ABC.

The Lakers are in a HUGE market and have always had a national following (of course, based on the posters on this thread, it looks like the Kings have a national following themselves :) ) and the Kings vs. Lakers matchup has been THE rivalry matchup these past 4 years, and these schedules are made up before the season starts, so I'm guessing ABC didn't anticipate the Lakers circling the drain the way they have been this season.

Mihm's on the IL too (conveniently). At least 4 more DNPs for him. Odom's shelved for the rest of the year. Kobe is questionable, not on IL yet.

That's the whole thing, PP. You hit that nail squarely. No need to get lathered up about this.

The fact that they're lotto bound doesn't really matter. In 1993, they were a mediocre playoff-bound team, but they only had a few games on NBC that year. In 1994, they had no games on NBC. Why? Sedale Threatt was their best guard. Now, Kobe Bryant is. The Lakers will get some nat'l broadcasts because of that regardless of their prospects, just like the Cavs being so ubiquitous in 2003.

Sedale was my main man! Most beloved non-star in La La since Rambo Rambis:
