Corbin To Interview For Assistant Coach Spot

I think Malone said this in an interview recently. When his dad quit last year, he didn't want to bring in somebody else at that point to disrupt the staff chemistry - but he planned to during the off-season... to bring in someone with a little more seasoning as lead assistant.

solid hire if it happens. I would LOVE to bring in Marc Jackson as an assistant but I think he's making more money on ABC than he would as an assistant. He did wonders for Steph Curry's game and could work wonders for our future PG.

And every single coach on the staff would wind up hating his guts

I don't know what Corbin brings as a coach but he's a classy guy. If he knows something about offense, so much the better. Besides, there are no limits on the number of coaches a team can have and at the very, very least, Corbin will not cause a problem.

Not a fan of Mark Jackson.

Don't think Coach Malone is either, if recent reports are true.
There were actually rumours last year that the Malone and Jackson relationship began to disintegrate similar to what occurred this year with Jackson's assistance.

But but ... one year isn't enough to have a culture change! You can't expect a coach to have his team playing his style in only one year!
To be fair Bud had a bunch of smart know your role type of guys on his team to help him out , I mean Carroll (really played excellent thi year)/Milsap/Horford/Scott/Korver all play within there abilities as does everyone except for Lou Williams and Teague at times can be a little wild but you allow that cause he's talented. He had the right type of players to implement his system the problem is we don't have these types of players. Our main core this year simply had chuckers and low IQ players.

But I do agree with what your trying to say he's a excellent coach and has changed there culture which has not occured in Sacramento. Jury is still out on Malone the offense this year was a disgrace and painful to watch we just relyed on talent rather than a system and the defence was same old same old.

Would be a solid hire. I liked him as a coach and think that Jazz fans that were calling for his head all year were out of line. He played and coached under Jerry Sloan and with Jeff Hornacek He is a very solid person who seemed to get along with players.

Besides, will pave the way for us to steal Hayward from ya, :p

Well, it'd actually be helpful if he HAD his team for a whole year to implement his system.
