Clippers vs Kings 10/18 final preseason game

Heck any quarter we keep opponent under 30 is improvement over last year. Especially a team like the clippers

slow start, but there we were again winning a quarter with our startes/main guys.

Temple/Ben doesn't work though.
Not looking forward at all to the Temple/Ben backup backcourt for the first 8 games. I think we'd need both Afflalo and Gay with them. Or maybe at least Cousins and Casspi. Neither can run an offense, nor create their own shots.

Please no 2 PG lineups with 2 guys barely cracking 6 feet, whatever little offensive advantage it creates is quickly negated on defense

Trading Ben for a future pick would mean a Farmar/Temple backcourt.

I much prefer having a coach who is up on the sidelines and can be heard on tv working the refs than what we had last year. Feels good.

Depends on the matchup. Against CP3/Redick or Rivers/Crawford it's fine. None of those guys are strong or physical offensive players. Paul is probably the only one who is a threat to post up.

Eh, unless it's a future 1st round pick(heavily restricted would be ok), I'm not so sure that it would be worth the trade.......unless, the FO wants to cut Ben anyways. Might as well got a 2nd round pick for him. I'd be OK with a Farmar/Temple rotation.

Your probably right, I just saw Allan Anderson's eyes light up as he saw a 5+ inch advantage and drove right in and drew a foul twice, if the mini guard lineup isnt getting buckets theres really no point in risking it with all of the new wing depth on the roster, defense should come first IMO, in all fairness this may just be a preseason expirement and not a stubborn philosophy of DJ as it so frustratingly was with Karl.

Well Joerger is certainly giving Ben opportunities in the preseason so I don't know. Could be showcasing him or they might think they can develop him.

I think Joerger is still just experimenting. Lots of possible lineups.

There's Ben losing his dribble again.

Our bench couldn't score against their subs. So we leave them out there when their starters come back?

I think Joerger is using this game to check off what doesn't work

He said as much during his last post practice interview when asked about if the final game was going to be more normal minutes. Missing Collison and figuring out the guards was a point of emphasis.
