Good to hear about Bobby, Any truth to DC possibly coming back. It would be nice to have him back to mentor Cisco on the art of defense......

Thanks again for the welcomes.....

^^no matter how cheap we could get christie, i think its just better off we dont waste our money on an old and semi-injured player right now.

exactly my thoughts on him. I was watching the draft not expecting to get him even though I thought he would be the best pick for us, and then its pick #22, Im about to jump for joy that he fell that far, and then they picked ????? and I was like come on Francisco Garcia and I hear Stern say with the 23 pick in the draft the Kings select Fran....and thats when I jumped for joy. Then to top it off the ESPN people were saying what a great pick we made. ESPN never gives us any love (at least what Ive heard).

Another Cards fan here, and now a Kings fan. Cisco is wonderful basketball player, but maybe his biggest assets are his intangibles and his moxy.

As was stated above, he always has a smile on his face, and he is a team-first kind of player. He understands that it is all about the team. He will also be a great teammate. Its important for him to get along with his teammates, and with that infectious smile, that will not be a problem for him.

He is also not afraid to take the big shot. He hit many big shots for us in his three years as a Cardinal. And he is as tough a competitor as they come. He will do and work at whatever he needs to to continue to get better.

It was nothing for him and teammate Taquan Dean to be found in the gym at the wee hours of the morning working on their shooting. More than once they slept in the gym to save the trip back the next morning.

I'm sure the Kings fans will come to love Cisco the way Louisville fans have.
You got a good one in Francisco Garcia. Congrats.

Nice to see all my fellow Card and now KING fans follow me over here and let everyone know how good Cisco is going to be. I can't wait to watch him on NBAtv and throughout the season, please keep us all updated on his scrimmage games and what the team thinks of him. :)

I just hope he gets PT. Adelman is notorious for not giving PT to rookies.
As of right now, Rick's only two options at OG are Martin and Garcia. If one or the other of those guys doesn't get minutesd it will either be because a)the other guy beat him out fair and square, or b) Geoff went out and brought in another OG. As of right now SOME young player is getting the minutes there.

From the looks of the press conferences and what not, it may be safe to say that he will be the lead candidate to start next year. At least at the moment.

"Hey, Card fan. What are his defensive strengths and weaknesses?"

As far as defense, he moves very well. He floats with the ball and can steal and jab the ball away. He is also a great shot blocker. He plays just about every part of the game with pure heart. He has added about ten pounds since the Final Four, but as I saw earlier, plans on adding fifteen to twenty more by the start of the season. I would compare him to Tayshaun Prince now, but if he adds the weight and gets the right coaching he will be Dwayne Wade. It is early to say that since he hasn't played a pro game yet, but like OC said, I knew when I first saw him play he had "it"!

I am also new, but have been a kings fan all my life and i must say, Francisco Garcia can easily be the steal of the draft if he continues to play as well as he did in Louisville, I just hope that he gets enough playing time for him to be able to become a great player.

I think that Garcia will split time with KM and whoever takes charge will start. Garcia needs time to adjust, but not much time. You all will be amazed by his passing skills and how good he can shoot. Should be a great season.

Kentucky. The home of fast horses, beautiful women, and premium Bourbon whiskey. That's what they say anyway.

Or was that fast women, beautiful horses, and Fort Campbell?

I am a strong supporter of the kid. I believe he can fit right into our gameplan. He pretty much looks readymade and looks to be a steal with pick 23. Well done Goeff Petrie and welcome to the fam Ciscoooooooo
