Kotchman grounds out to end the series, and the Pale Hose win the AL Pennant for the first time since 1959.

What's truly amazing is that the starting rotation for the White Sox went 4-1, and faced all but 2 batters in the entire series; their bullpen is going to be crazy rested.

I am a Cubs fan, but I have to admire what the Southsiders are doing this year. The best quote of the night is from Kenny Williams (Sox' GM)"
"... We traded talent to get the guys who will live and die with every win and loss...".

Same here. They are doing great and deserve to go to WS. 4 straight complete games is pretty amazing.

My dream scenario: White Sox win the World Series and a Grand Piano falls from the sky on A.J. "Putz"inksi's head.

hmmmm....that might make the Sox and AJackass being in the Series worthwhile TV viewing. Gawd...all I'd need is for Clemens to make it to the Series and it will complete my hatefest or at least balance it out over the two leagues. I'm trying to find the silver lining that "at least its not the Yankees" but that's run its course.

their starting rotation is ridiculous, and now they get the week off.

the way they pitch and hit, i can see them winning the title. houston is probaly going to win tommorrow ( BOOOOOOOOOOO) and while they do have 3 great starters, they to me don't have the same intangibles. the white sox have the great pitching, but they have great defense, speed, power, they can play small ball, long ball, their pen is outstanding, and unbeliveabley well rested. the astro's offense is inconsistant, their D isn't as good. they aren't as good on the road. but we'll see

i am still holding out small hope the cards can at least win tommorrow and take the series back to st louis, maybe tire the astros out a bit. they do have their horse carpenter going for them, so you never know

White Sox vs. Astros wouldn't be the WS; it'd be the W(TF)S.

Still, better the White Sox than the Angels...
