I don't know about that. Like Brick said, the guy is a great scorer, and probably will be for the duration of his career, but superstar? He's a scorer only. He doesn't have the all around game of a guy like Tracy McGrady, doesn't make people around him better. He is only 20 years old, so let's see what happens. But it's premature to label him a superduperstar. I don't even think he's a superstar just yet. Superduperstar is reserved for Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Tim Duncan, Dwayne Wade, Paul Pierce and the like, truly transcendant players whose teams don't lose 50+ games a year unless they are hurt.
But my major bone is not with how good Durant is/will be. It's with how good Brandon Roy already is. I know a lot of people don't recognize him as being one of the top players in the NBA, but they should. The guy is one of the few complete swingmen in the league. The numbers bear that out. And as the centerpiece of the offense, he's able to make his teammates better as well. Still, when it's the 4th quarter and the team needs buckets, the ball is in Roy's hands. Maybe he's not recognized as a superstar, but I struggle to think of a better guard/forward in the league for less than five years. Including Durant. Maybe Danny Granger, but I'd rather have Roy, personally.
