[CHA/MIA] Wade Playing Tonight

This just doesn't feel like a good thing... I wish him luck.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if an opposing player in the playoffs deliberately makes contact against Wade's shoulder - especially if Wade goes on one of his crazy runs. I just hope the fate of the Heat - and of Wade - isn't decided that way.

It wouldn't even have to be deliberate. Players on other teams aren't going to quit trying to stop him, and I think he might be making a big mistake in coming back at this point...

He's still going to need the surgery whether he plays or not, and if he does re-injure it then it's just the end to his season. Most thought his season was already over.

Unless there is worry that re-injuring it could end his career?

Further injury to an area already needing surgery is always problematic. What if, for example, in trying to maneuver so that his already injured shoulder doesn't sustain further damage, he steps wrong and injures his ankle or knee?

It just doesn't seem like a good idea to me to take the chance. This is a multi-million $$ asset we're talking about for the Heat, not some scrub at the end of his career anyway.

I still can't figure out how a team in which Walter Herrmann plays an important role can win a game in the NBA

Charlotte choked a double-digit lead in the fourth, but came back hard to get their first-ever win in Miami in overtime. Gerald played big again with 30/8/1/4/1, and Walter "Fabio" Herrmann dropped three three-pointers in overtime.

Charlotte now has thirty-one wins, which gives them a tie for the third-best win total for a third-year expansion franchise in NBA history.

Have you seen the picture of him they have up at Yahoo! Sports?
I have now.

The post that I quoted doesn't sound like somebody who's happy for Walter Herrmann.

EDIT - About the game, I'll give Miami a mulligan because they're more focused on working Dwyane Wade back into the rotation in time for the playoffs. Still, it's a hell of a thing to shoot 54% from the field at home, and lose by eight...

It just sounds like someone who doesn't think that Walter Herrmann is this good

The guy's averaging eight points a game: you don't think that he's good enough to average eight points a game in the League?

I am sure that You could list bunch of players with "bigger" name , who average 8 points as well. He has been much better as of late. Not sure whether it is the injuries that created minutes for him or is it him raising his level but anyway Walter Herrmann was a decent player on international level. Guess, NBA today, isn't as good as it was.

What a horrible story about Herrmann. I remember reading about it a few years ago, but I forgot the details. It puts into perspective a lot of "problems" that some of the other NBA primadonas have.

Unimagineable to me. What a strong young man.

Yep. Good for him. I had this guy tagged as a scrub halfway through the year..well, maybe not scrub, but just hardworking roleplayer type. Seemed to lack the skills and a natural position. But he's proving me wrong and doesn't seem to have any quit in him.
