As a starter, you need to show confidence in your guys as a coach. The matchups, are important of course, but so is player confidence. So if Smart has no confidence in IT, then why the hell is he starting. If he does have confidence in IT as our pg, then why the hell isn't he in there? And Jimmer did nothing to warrant taking those minutes away.

Just more errors from the coach. It all adds up at the end, we don't just magically win or lose in the final 3 mins.

Walton occasionally reveals his accurate grasp of reality, thereby exposing his rambling drunk basketball uncle on acid tirades as intentional actions. I don't know if this is good news or bad.

And then he calls Travis Outlaw, Bo Outlaw, can't remeber who Jeff Green is, accuses DeMarcus of not being a dominat rebounder, and tries to earn I'm really a fan of your team brownie points by listing ever single member of the former Kings he can remember amongst his loved to watch list. I actually went on a desperate hunt for a less than 100% legal feed of the Boston telecast despite the presence fo Tommy Heinsohn, who is more intolerable than even Bill. Alas they were all more Walton.

I guess I lucked out tonight :) Tommy doesn't go on long road trips anymore. Donny Marshall is the color guy when he's gone... and he isn't exactly 'great' but much better than Tommy.

It's not about dissing anyone. Basketball isn't anywhere near simple as you try to make it. Team playing well is different from sub patterns which even the smoked out Walton knows.

Up one=subs good?
Down=subs bad?

Cousins is going to get himself tossed. He's right, but he ought to know that he's not getting that call.


EDIT - AND he needs to understand that he has a reputation, deserved or not, and once you get that reputation, refs are looking for a reason to T you up.
