I think with whats gone down in the past 48hrs there will be plenty of motivation for the boys tonight. I expect the energy level to be high.

And I will be in front of my TV...screaming like I've never screamed before, with my Brad Miller jersey on :D :D :D :D

GOOOOOOOOOO KINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's roll!!

But LeBron did score 35pts in Cleavland :) So hopefully Peja from ARCO last year shows up tonight!
Indeed.

I hated the 4th qtr of that game, thankfully we got it back in the last 2-3 minutes, would of been quite a sad loss.

LeBron slaughtered him in Cleveland -- as I recall just posted him up and dominated him inside. I don't remember the game earlier in the season at Arco, except that it was one of the last strong games we played before we got punked by San Antonio and it all headed downhill. rihgt at the tail end of that Mobley honeymoon period. Boxscore says the real keyt ot that one was that LeBron did not get to the line -- 18pts on 9-19 shooting. But no freebies. Not sure you can call that a book on him or anything, but who knows, might as well try it again. ;)

This game has disaster written all over it. Cleveland is one of the best, if not the best, rebounding team in the NBA and athletic/long players like Gooden and Marshall tear us up. Not to mention Ilgauskas beating up on Miller all game. Let's hope we can get some production from our backcourt and bench because we are going to need it.

Sorry to sound negative but I'm just not very optimistic about this team right now.

The matchups are miserable, but I really think the biggest thing here is just going to be the effort/passion. Everybody even remotely associated with the Kings has to understand the urgency now if they did not before. And if we come out playing desperate, or at least inspired, and on our home floor, Cleveland is still not the sort of tough veteran team that will necessarily withstand that. If we're up, and they're flat at all, we still have enough talent to beat a team like this at Arco.

Its maybe a pipedream, but perhaps after only one or two puffs. ;)

Wouldn't mind seeing SKinner start at C and Miller at PF.

Thoughts??

Outside of not gonna happen? ;)

There is something to be said for that on some nights, but if you did, then you would have not 1, not 2, but 3 tweener forwards on the bench all clamoring for the same minutes, and nobody even remotely big. (Of course having Skinner on the bench doesn't matter anyway if you are not going to play him.)

In any case though, fact of the matter is that Brian Skinner is a PF. He's 6'9". That's not even especially large for a PF, let alone a center. And tonight the Cavs will be trotting out a 7'3" pivotman in Big Z. So probably not a night when starting Skinner would produce great results. He's looked overwhelmed in the past by the really big guys, and Ilguaskas certainly qualifies.

Skinner weighs more than Ben Wallace. Start brian at PF please.

My prediction: Close game, Peja scores 30 points in the fourth quarter, rejects LeBron James 6 times, grabs 15 aggresive boards, and finishes the game of with a clutch 3-pointer to win it even though he sprained his ankle. Brad Miller doesn't let Illgauskas score a single point because of his terrific defense, and grabs 20 rebounds. Mike Bibby drops 20 dimes, and amazes Eric Snow with his handles and amazing speed. Yup. Something like that.
