wow anyone else notice that Casspi is on a tear first 2 games of the preseason? lol! granted its preseason but wow... makes you think...

like could team team use a scrappy defensive SF that can shoot 3's, and move without the ball? haha.

of course he did really didn't do much on this team or with the CAVS so it could just be a sort of luck... BUT... if he ends up being a solid player you seriously have to wonder about the impact our terrible coaches had on our teams the last 6+ years.

He had a great defensive mindset when he first got here and he was (and is) a great character guy. I have to wonder what he could have done with decent coaching and a functional atmosphere around him.

Actually on the character front he's a notorious pain in the ass dating all the way back to his Israel days. Been no help to his career either.

I didn't remember it that way. I met him on opening night his rookie year and got a much different read. IIRC, it wasn't his character that was an issue as much as an increased frustration over how he was (or wasn't) utilized. When I used "character," I was referring more to community active, no scandal, etc. ;)

Casspi was a pain in the ass. I remember he was one of the worst pouters on the team and cried about playing time even tho he hadn't earned it. althoughhhhhh...... we did have totally retarded coaches but even so he could have handled himself better. basically demanded a trade at the end. he also failed to do a dang thing in CLE. but maybe being on his last NBA leg has put a fire under him now.

btw he blew it up again for HOU today! still drives me crazy he couldn't have figure it out here.

Kevin Mchale is an ideal coach for him. On the other hand, for example a guy like Mark Jackson would not be a good coach for him. Makes a huge difference for a player like Casspi.

Now that I think about, Rick Adelman could have made a big difference for him. Came into Sac a couple years too late I guess

Yep, I remember he always had a poor attitude. He overestimates his own ability and thinks he is a star, and should be getting star touches and play time. Maybe moving to another team was a wake up call but I doubt it.
