Bye Bye Courtney

So, we're putting all our hopes for depth at the 2 on Martin and Daniels?
Martin and Evans i think you mean. Daniels is the forward. Well, we also have Bobby J to play some minutes there and possibly Barnes if Peja is in.

Petrie wouldn't do it without considering some options. I think he's got someone in mind and I suspect there will be an announcement forthcoming in the near future.

I am guessing that you are correct.

1st Courtney had a hamstring problem. Then he went from that to a "sore" foot. What the heck was that. Me thinks he was planning on sitting around and getting that guaranteed contract in Dec. I am sure Petrie has not been sitting on his hands while Courtney sat out.

Well, I believe Corey Benjamin is still sitting at home doing nothing; I suppose we could do worse...
really? ;)

Not that I have any better ideas but we've already got a trio of kids who MIGHT be able to step up into the rotation in Barnes/Evans/Martin. Not sure I'd stunt them for a career journeyman 10th/11th/12th man type. Courtney was at least a former 6th man, lottery pick, had one breakout half season back there. Not an All-Star, but a proven guy. Liked the idea of having somebody who we knew could ahndle the job every night. Not at all sure that's Benjamin. Would once have been Kendall Gill perhaps, but man he's old.

Crap!

Matt Maloney is available too! Played against him too! Same games actually (they were teammates). He's better than me too! :)

hey...wait a second....how come all of the Penn guys are still out there available as FAs??

Oh? You didn't hear about this year's conspiracy against Penn guys? :p

I have a plan!

Plastic surgery, a new identity, and liberal doses of mood altering drugs.

I'm talking Ron Artest after the All-Star Break.

The salary will probably work. I'm thinking the "veteran minimum".

So I will now take bragging rights for calling the Courtney Alexander waive a few days back. (Not like it took a rocket scientist) I see another FA in the future who it will be I have no idea, but I'd say look to Europe

Haha, we could take Keon back... ;)
For those who may not have read it, Keon failed to appear for two DIFFERENT teams. I don't think Keon Clark is ever going to don an NBA uniform again - except maybe at Halloween...

I really think we should pick someone up like Dion Glover, Rod Grizzard or Kendall Gill, Grizzard can play and hes still really young, Dion has proven himself in the NBA and Gill can still play for a year or two.

I can't believe you guys are actually worried that Petrie may not have considered the ramifications of letting Alexander go...

"Seriously hope we pick someone up?" It WILL happen. There isn't a doubt in my mind.

;)

Im hoping Kendall Gill gets the phone call.

Or maybe if his injury isn't as bad as thought, Eddie Robinson, anyone?

Troy Bell still around? I heard he's ok.......

JR Bremer can shoot 3 pts.....I remembered I saw a game from Celtics when he's on fire last season.......(or maybe 2 seasons ago......)

Kendal Gill is a good one too.........sometimes........

Europe should be a good place to start......

but anyway, everyone knows that Petrie is an expert on this.....I'm not worry a bit....

Good Players in Europe have contracts by now. The Buyouts will prevent anything from happening. Forget Europe.
