Bonzi can make himself a free agent next week, so what do you guys think about the Kings going after Wells to bring him back to Sac? Obviously he would come cheaper, and he isn't exactly done quite yet.

Bonzi has already been talking about resuming play for the Rockets. It would be very foolish of him to declare free agency at this point. And we don't need him. We have a SG.
somebody please answer this for me, besides his contract, why on earth do we have Kenny Thomas as our starting PF??
Time has probably passed for this. It woudl take the right coach. And I think it would take keeping Artest as well, to make this reasonable at this point. Bonzi and Artest had synergy in a way that Kevin and Artest do not. With TWO bump and thumpers it flavored our whole team, and there was no team in the league who had two defenders to match the kind of small man power game. A number of teams have one guy. But nobody could contend with both of them at once. So, if you had a coach who could reach Bonzi, who could control Artest, and you brought Bonzi in as the third swingman and ended the Salmons mediocrity experiment...sure. But unfortunately that confluence of events is highly unlikely -- we had it there briefly a little over a year ago, but I don't see it coming back, and so I think Bonzi is just part of Kings history now.
And from Bonzi's perspective, he should find a way, any way, to stay in Houston this year if he can. He has a coach who believes in him and a team that he could really help push toward eltie status. Golden opportunity to repair his image and maybe secure that one last contract. With Houston rumored to be after Artest, its actually more likely Bonzi and Ron reunite down there under Rick than up in Sacto.
Well, I don't think the rest of the team were to keen on the "flavor". More than a few complaints from more that a few guys have been noted.
Rockets forward Bonzi Wells has decided to remain with the Rockets and will play for Houston during the 2007 -2008 season.
Wells agent, Bill Duffy, tells FOX 26 sports Wells has notified the Rockets that he will opt in as oppose of opting out of the second year of his contract. "Bonzi has sent in the necessary paperwork and he is opting in and he will play for the Rockets this coming season."
Before last season, Wells signed a one year contract with the rockets plus a player option for the second year. The second year is worth about 2.8 million
"Basically last year was an incomplete year for Bonzi. He feels very strongly about Rick Adelman. He feels the Rockets are a championship caliber team especially with the addition of Mike James."
I find that whole paragraph about believing in the Rockets and Adelman to be quite funny. What probably happened is that his agent asked around and no one was willing to offer more than his current contract.
Also, on a side note, ESPN talked about Ron Artest and the Houston rumors. Apparently, the Maloofs basically stonewalled any attempt by Petrie to trade Artest to Houston due to Adelman. I'm not sure if I believe this but I find that very humorous. Didn't realize their grudge was that big.
Oh and the worst part about it is that they made it sound like Petrie wanted to trade him to houston but that the Maloofs were the one reason why it wasn't happening. Sort of adds credence to the argument that the Maloofs are interfering with Petrie.
I seriously doubt if the Maloofs would stonewall a legitimate trade because it involves sending a player to Houston. I think this has just gone way past any kind of logic.
Did BSPN happen to say what the trade would have entailed?
