I hate Grant for predicting the furture. He says, "that ought to do it." Hasn't he watched the NBA?

Some thoughts on the game:

I like when Moore channels his intensity on defense. It rarely happens, but when it does, I enjoy watching him, especially tonight with his 4 blocks. He should be able to do this every game.

Here's the thing about Moore: he seems the energy guy who either gets super hyped, or really pissed. He b!tches almost after every basket, and stares down refs. That's just part of his intensity, but he really needs to channel that to actually playing defense. Use the anger and hustle around the basket.

He's done it 3 times in 425 games, I wouldn't hold my breath.
That's why I said he should be able to do it more. It's not like he isn't long and athletic. He just doesn't give 100% on the defensive end down low. Sometimes it looks like he gives up on a play, and I hate that.

I think Mikki gives 100% of whatever he has and that is the most important thing he adds to the Kings. It doesn't always add up to be points, rebounds, or blocks but it IS a bit inspiring.

that's why I don't mind Mikki coming off the bench. As long as that energy level is there he should be able to pump the players up out there, and become our new "Scot Pollard". Of course a poor mans Pollard. Better offensively, about the same defensively, but lacking on the boards, and blocks.

I don't think that anyone has a problem with Mikki as an energy guy off the bench. I count myself as one of his more severe critics, but I wouldn't begrudge him that, at all. In this last game, for example, he started off by hitting 3 baskets in the first 5 minutes. He then went for over 20 minutes without hitting another, but the first bit was absolutely fine, and shows what he can do when he's fresh. And I think that, and his positive attitude, are his best selling points. If we can get a decent starter, who brings some off the things which he doesn't, I'd be perfectly content with him as our poor man's Pollard. I don't think I'll ever like his contract much, but that's Geoff's problem, not mine.
