Bobby Jackson should play no longer than 10 mins. at this time of the year

I mean what is Kenny Natt trying pull here by giving Bobby Jackson 20-30 mins per game at this time of the year?

I know Bobby J. is a fighter. But he'll be 36 and his not gonna be playing on this floor after this season. What's the purpose of all those young guys on the bench.

He maybe the closest we have to a PG after Beno (and now Beno just got injured) but we are not going at any playoff runs here. We're the worst team in the league!!!

I remember Bobby's interview after the Artest trade that he himself agreed his an old guy now and he'll just be happy taking no more 10-15mins per game.

It's much better to see at this time of the year having experimental rotations with all the young guys to see if we got some interesting pickups.

McCants, Cisco, Solomon.....let them get those minutes and stop beating up Bobby. At this time of the year and being the worst team in the league, now is the best time to play around with the lineup. If we lose, we will continue to defend that first pick. And if we win, we might be able to see some additional help we can take through next season.

Solomon doesn't need minutes... Mccants does though. I'm not too concerned with Bjax's minutes even though it seems like he's getting tired now. If it really is his last season let him play as much as he likes

Agreed.. We aren't really trying to develop anyone in the PG spot so I couldn't care less who plays. On the other hand there are other positions where Natt doesn't seem to want to give the young guys much time and I am getting kind of mad.

Like the SG and SF positions? :o Just run Cisco at the point, so Greene and McCants can see the floor more often!

Natt is hardly coaching for the long term health of the franchise guys. He's still trying to coach his way into another job jext year, and BJax has been one of the few guys on the roster with any fight in him. Its completely pointless, but there it is.

My opinion differs slightly...

Thus far, Coach Natt is putting a product on the floor that is at least somewhat entertaining, especially since the trade changes, and is still finding new and innovative ways to keep our lottery pick intact.

You guys keep griping about this as though it's a bad thing...

This might be the nicest euphamism for saying someone is a terrible coach that I have ever read. I's stealing this line in the future, "innovative ways to keep our lottery pick intact." Is it too early to say that VF wins the thread?

Natt does it again...

SACRAMENTO, Calif.(AP) Bobby Jackson turned back the clock a few years Friday night for the Sacramento Kings.
Jackson scored 18 points and Kevin Martin had 20 as the Kings built an early lead and cruised to a 98-86 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
A key contributor earlier this decade when the Kings were one of the NBA's premier teams, Jackson is nearing his 36th birthday and has mostly been used off the bench in his return to Sacramento.
But with starter Beno Udrih out with a sprained ankle against the Clippers, Jackson made his fourth start of the year and played a season-high 37 minutes. He shot 6-of-8, hit three 3-pointers and also added four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. "I don't want any big minutes anymore,'' Jackson said. "My body feels better when I play 20 to 22 minutes. I had to pace myself a little out there tonight.''

I love Bobby and am glad to see him still doing well, but even he is saying this is too much for him. He played more minutes than anyone for crying out loud. No need to run the guy on empty.

Bobby has been saying since the start of the year I want about 15 minutes a night. I understand he's not part of the future, but he's one of the only guys with experience at running the point in this league that we have.

While he's more of a combo guard, our other options is to start Will Solomon. Is that what we need?? Udrih is hurt, so we don't have a lot of options. While I agree he probably doesn't want big minutes, he's getting paid to play, and if the Kings are in the situation that they are right now he has to play more minutes. I don't feel sorry for him, he gets paid well to tire himself out. He'll get all the rest he needs after this season.
