The Minnesota Timberwolves are close to bringing Bobby Jackson as a player development coach to replace David Adelman.
Jackson played for the Minnesota Gophers collegiately and also played for Rick Adelman with both the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets.
Jackson was an assistant coach for the Kings over the past two seasons.
David Adelman was promoted to a full-time assistant following the departure of Bill Bayno to the Toronto Raptors.

that would not be an entire surprise given the disruption of the Kings family on this end, and his ties to Minny/Adelman on the other, but this is the first I've heard or seen of it.

Since the entire coaching staff was let go, there hasn't been much word about Bobby. Since he's always made it clear he wanted to pursue his career in coaching, I think this is definitely a step in the right direction. If this is true, I wish Bobby every success.

Fine for Bobby, fine for the Kings. I think Vivek wanted to clean house completely but canning BJax was a PR problem so they made up a job for him. No brainer for him to go where he's surely more wanted in Adelman's gang. I'm happy for him.

Carmichael Dave was talking about this on his show this morning. Said Bobby was a was a bit frustrated with the lack of offers because he wants to keep his coaching career progressing. But this Minny thing would be a good fit for obvious reasons.. Rick Adelman/Went College there.
