now, can we please get off his back?

Something tells me that if Bibby went off for 15/16 shooting, people would be saying how Bibby pulled out the win for us.....AND NO ONE WOULD SAY ANYTHING AGAINST IT.

Of Course ...

This is generally where one arrives after losing and the loss is not taken well.

I also believe it's a part of the healing process.

Hopefully, things'll be worked-out and on a more "positive upbeat mood" Tuesday night.

Saturday was a night that didn't go too well, all we have to do is not try to thing about it(I know its hard). We just have to try to relax and hope for the best the next games.

I'm not blaming Bibby because I don't like him. I'm also not saying that Peja had a perfect game. You can't say anything just from looking at my log-in name.

But you're still blaming Bibby, you're the one who started a thread trying to place the loss on his shoulders. I'm just hoping that you do realize what a clutch player Mike has been for the Kings in the playoffs and all season long. He basically has carried the team on his shoulders. It is pretty bad to single him out after one game, especially since he's such a proven performer. Bibby had a horrible game, but it's wrong to say he's the main reason the team lost. THe Kings gave up a ton of second chance points, they were flat in the first half, Skinner couldn't handle James, Mobley was cold in the 1st half and he and K9 both missed some crucial free throws, Jackson was ice cold etc.... THe point is that it's a TEAM game. They win and lose as a team, not because of one guy either way. It's obvious that Peja is your favorite player or you wouldn't have chosen his name as your handle. I'm just saying that if a Peja fan is calling out Bibby for a bad playoff game, that's it's pretty ironic. "Hello pot, this is the kettle calling."

bibby had the worst stats on the kings, but it's not the reason we lost.

they just didn't play enough D, and couldn't convert those millions of ofensive boards. it's ok, it is just one game. we can still steal home court by winning on tuesday.

i wouldn't feel too good about this win if i were seattle. our best player had the worst night of his career, and they only won by 5, with cat's possible tying 3, that was a pretty good look that didn't fall in. the sonics also almost blew a 21 point lead, allowing the kings to get it down to 1 point in the final minutes.

kings will be back. bibby will be back. better to have that game in game 1 then in a game 7.

GO BIBBY!!! GO KINGS!

I do know Bibby is clutch. I do know Bibby is the best player one the Sacramento Kings roster.

In my first post of this thread I said some of you may disagree. I think the whole reason this site was created was for everyone to give their opinions about the Kings. I for one think that if Bibby had a better game, and took wiser shots that we would of probably pulled out the victory.

PS: Mobley is always cold in the first half :) :p

That is true for EVERY player on our roster.

I say we all just let this go and move on to the next game. There's no use in trying to blame anyone cause the game is over and what happened, happened. I think everyone knows how important Mike is to the Kings and I don't think there's one person we all trust more than him to make the right decisions.

It was just one night, and I'm willing to take the bad with the good because the good has always outweighed the bad.

wiser shots...nah he missed wide open jumpers, shots he normally makes with both eyes closed, a hand tied behind his back, an his legs taped together. he just plain sucked game 1, and he probably be the first to admit it.

i was talking about the shot at the end of the first or second quarter and the one at the end of the game

Actually the site was created for intelligent discussion about the Kings, not finger pointing at one player for having an off night.

You need to let this go...

We don't allow player bashing and this has gone on long enough.

Good post and I agree 10000% percent. We will be back this was only one game.

Bibby had a HORRIBLE game and the loss is on him. He is our only marquee player now, and if he plays poorly the Kings will lose. Luckily, he is also our only player with any chutzpah so he will take the loss to heart and come back next game unphased.

Games Bibby may have lost: 1

Games Bibby Saved Our A**: 100

True, but what has he done for us lately?

Bibby was horrible and that was the main reason why we lost but there were definitely other factors involved. I think the good thing about it (trying to be optimistic here) is that it will make him even more determined next game. It's just bad he had to do it in the PO's but the Kings are not known for their great timing. It's OK Mike we still love you. We'll still win the series!!! GOOOO KINGS!!!

The people to blame are all the people who in their mind think, believe or just plainly give up when we are down by 9 near the end of the fourth. The negative chi spread to Seattle and cost us the game.

But I do agree that in order for us to compete, Bibby needs to play a lot better. I doubt he will have the same performance on the next game.

While Bibby did have a horrendous game, the entire team looked out of sync and lost out there. Tag and Peja had a good game, but everyone else...a pretty poor outing.

It's not fair to BLAME Bibby for this, but his terrible shooting (coupled with Bobby's) is definitely a huge reason why we lost. Not entirely his fault, but he contributed right along with most of the rest of the team.

That being said, the homerism on this board is almost mind-boggling. Where does this blantant refusal to criticize the team when they do badly come from?? I know we're fans, but this team can really pee me off, and when they do, I am going to say so!!

There isn't a blatant refusal to criticize the team but there is a commonly held opinion that we don't BASH our own players.

Yes, Bibby had a terrible shooting night but he wasn't the only player who had an off-night and he's not the only reason we lost.

Criticism is fine; it's why message boards exist. But there's a fine line between actual and legitimate criticism AND unabated player bashing. Some boards thrive on the bashing; Kingsfans.com doesn't.

I'm just not sure why its particularly a big deal to say that Bibby played like crap, or why its worthy of 8 pages of thread. Mike DID play like crap, he WAS the single biggest culprit (although there were many). Just a fact. Now that that fact has been extablished though, so what? I mean, what's the big deal? He doesn't have a history of this, and in EVERY game you lose there is always going to be SOMEONE who is probably the #1 culprit. We've had 33 of them so far this season, sometimes Mike, sometimes others. I'm not even sure its worthy of a discussion, and certianly not this much discussion, unless he comes out and flops again tommorow, and then again on Friday, and then we may have a problem Houston.

I think people are so up in arms about this because out of all our guys, Bibby is the one that they've come to expect consistency out of, especially in the playoffs. It was just very surprising to see him continue to miss when he usually seems like he's in his very element under the pressure of the playoffs.

What is it about the arena in Seattle that we cant concentrate or make shots? Is it the green color? yellow too bright for them. Golly gee wiz :\ Maybe they ought to practice at the Sac State gym.
