How will not playing him, everyone knowing we want to move him increase his value at the deadline?

I'm saying that he will have more value at the deadline if a team decides they need someone. Supply and demand. Or if they decide the season is over and they want to get rid of someone for an expiring. It's last chance to make a move. We don't have to do anything. As far as I'm aware he's not with the team so he's not a distraction. His agent has likely burned a pretty big bridge and we're done with them. If someone calls, we'll answer. Otherwise its sunk cost water under the bridge. But his value will rise in the last week when teams needs become a little more clear and they may or may not get desperate. We're not desperate.

It was said a few weeks ago he asked for a leave from the team for personal reasons. Although Walton said he was still in the team plans at that point as well.

He can’t play on the wings though and we’re already struggling to get enough minutes for Marvin as it is.

Probably just one of their few youngsters. They are already in the tax, so any added salary costs them more. If I understand correctly, they do have a trade exemption that Bjelica fits in. Simple and sweet.

I was browsing their roster. They have lots of guards and not a lot of front court depth. Obviously Thybulle was lock down just a few days ago and seems like a guy that fits what we want here. But I don't see how Bjelica gets that deal done. If they can't afford a larger trade they don't seem to have a lot that interests us? Their second round pick is likely to be in the later part of the 50s.

From what I see on tankathon, the Sixers own the Knicks second rounder, currently at 38.

I could see that as "ok", especially if they threw in a 2022 second rounder as well.

I would love to get someone that could effectively reduce Barnes's workload a bit if we can't get a defensive specialist type at 2/3.

I don't think it's too much to ask to get their first-rounder this year, since it's likely to be in the 26-30 range. They can use their Horford trade exception to send us no players back and we get their first rounder. I'd even throw the Lakers' second round pick back to them if they wanted a cookie.
