Backup C?

Who says Brad would be around? Get Chandler for him. :)

Regardless, I wouldn't think we'd do a Brad/Magloire 4/5 spot.

Bibby/Douby or someone
Wells or Martin/Douby/Vet.
Artest/Garcia or vet.
Chandler/SAR
Magloire/Elson or Voshkul (both have a jumper, and are good defenders/rebounders)

That'd be close/as good to Nene/Chandler FC. Gets rid of both KT/Brad, get rebounding/shotlbocking/athleticism/COMPLIMENTARY in the front-court. Bench is much improved. Have shooting, slashing, post-up, rebounding, defense, athleticism, mix of youth and vets.

Eh, I've always been a proponent of KT/sweetner for Magloire, then turning around and sending Magloire for Chandler. Keeps Brad around for the post spacing and passing, and minimizes the risk of Magloire walking to Toronto the next year.

All this Chandler for Brad talk is starting to bother me. Tyson is a big ?. If we traded Brad for him there is a very good chance we'd look like fools in the long run. Getting him is one thing, but swapping our center out for him is another.

No, not much chance at all really. Brad isn't getting any better, in fact is starting to go the other way. And he's just not that good. Chandler either stays at his current level, in which case its perhaps a mild loss in talent, but for a much youngert player who fits our needs, or he grows, in which case it doesn't take long until he is better than Miller, as well as younger, fitting our needs etc.

Trading Brad for peanuts is an issue. Trading him for another team's starting big, who happenes to be a young 7'1" rebounder/shotblcoker, former #3 pick etc. doesn't have much catastrophic downside to it.

07/12 12:19Bucks: Magloire on the blockTHE NEWS
With the salary cap now set, the Bucks will get serious about moving center Jamaal Magloire. "We really needed a power forward, and now that we feel we've got that position covered, we'll take a look at Jamaal and see if there's anything that makes sense with him and some point guards or whatever," general manager Larry Harris told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View
The one rumor that makes a ton of sense is one sending Magloire to Washington, where Brendan Haywood and Etan Thomas are simply not getting it done. Wiz guard Antonio Daniels might be an attractive piece for the Bucks.

KT and someone for Magloire as a backup would be cool.

That just isnt as realistic anymore... since the Villanueva trade, CV will be the starting PF with Bogut at C. KT's feelings about the bench, change? I don't think so. Do the Bucks know about those feelings? Who knows, but it wouldn't be good either way for them.

Then you have our side with Magloire, does he really want to be a back-up in his contract year? I'd think not. For that to work, you'd have to give Magloire good minutes, or unlikely, put Brad at back-up (where I think he'd be better suited anyways), or the other unlikely thing, trade Brad Miller.

KT for Etan is the most realistic trade scenario out there. Both teams would benefit.

there is, of course, one more scenario that satisfies both miller and magloire. given that the kings would have traded KT to land magloire, we'd have no backup PF. so, you start magloire and brad alongside each other, and bring reef off the bench as the backup PF. miller/magloire certainly is not a quick combination in the front line, but i can think of worse combinations....like, say, miller/KT. ;)
