I just wish he would shut the **** up and let us trade him without damaging what little is left of his value in the trade market.

I will be a very happy man when we trade him. He is a cancer. For all his great talent, he takes more away from the team than he actually gives to the team.

I don't know. He's been effective on the court, but I was at the game last night, and he still looks like a lunatic out there. Waving his arms around, talking trash while shooting free throws... he doesn't look all there. He may be playing well, but I'd say the meltdown clock is still ticking.

Yeah because artest is the only player that does those things right? Alot of players are lunatics with that logic.

While it certainly hasn't been seen in some time (almost certainly before your time), Artest isn't the first player to have a beer or some other object thrown at him. I'm fairly certain that he's the first player to rush the stands and hit somebody.

No, that's not true. Vern Maxwell once did that. Oops...that doesn't really help Artest's case, does it?

Cedric Maxwell once ran over to a fan in Philly and jumped into him Duggan style, smashing him into his seat. Iirc, McHale had an incident w/ a fan where contact was made. Both happened in 1984 or 85, both suspended. I know there's a story of an asst coach who knocked a heckler out in the 50s.

It was only Artest who could erupt an entire arena. Say what you will about him, but name me another player who could manage that.

There are inclinings that he could be a cancer. Yelling at Theus while the game is going on, trying to call timeouts. He has actually said he doesn't mesh with Theus although he said he respects him.

I think Artest is probably doing his best impression of a "good 'ol boy" while we try to move him saying all the right things.
