espn just said they will have more details at the top of the hour.. when are the maloofs going to meet up with artest?

i guess with indiana's presence in the paint, peja can have more offensive game than in sac

you hit the nail on the head. Peja will get more open looks in Indiana b/c of JO. The Kings do not have the kind of player inside that opens up the court for the perimeter shooters.

Now Ron Artest is saying that it isn't a done deal. I wish ONE of his VOICES would get control and be the only spokesman until this thing comes to a conclusion one way or another!!

I dont hate peja... I just want the best for our team. And Peja wasnt helping anymore.

Maybe hell help in Indiana(sarcasm)

Did you see the last minutes of the Kings Miami game? Peja turned over the ball on important possesions.

Again. Peja is (was) the part of the problem not the root cause of it. Did you see Miller last night? He is way to incosistent. LEt's ship him out too.

It's not a done deal until the Maloofs sign off on it. Just because he will accept the trade doesn't mean that it's done. The offer by the Kings has to be made again since their previous offer was taken off the table.

and, he's only saying he'll come here because he was threatened with not being paid for the remainder of the year. The Maloofs have to decide if they want him under those conditions.

ESPN / Jim Gray reports that Artest & Maloofs/Petrie have finished their discussions and the matter is now in the hands of the Kings.

I am aware of all that.:) I was only making fun an pointing out how Artest changes what he says minute by minute.

"It was a good meeting," Artest told the Indianapolis Star. "They said they were going to try to get something sorted out to get the trade done. There's no trade right now."

Artest also denied he wouldn't go to the Kings.

"I'll go anywhere," Artest told the Star. "I just want to get back on the basketball court and start playing again."

ESPN's Jim Gray reported Wednesday after the meeting that Artest has agreed to be traded, but that Kings owners Joe and Gavin Maloof now want to talk to Artest before finalizing any trade.

so basically...no peja again tonight..poor guy :(

Kings need to change their name to the "THUGS". Whatever happened to the Petrie concept of a finesse team utilizing the Princeton Offense and being the offensive envy of the NBA. I'm not likin' this one bit. Maloofs screwed things with their stupid interview with ESPN yesterday. I hope Artest has a meltdown now...........move your damn team to Vegas. Get outta here.....

Well, the Maloofs will put good use to their gold standard by giving the fans gold crown teeth if Artest decides to punch anyone. Now THAT's GOLD STANDARD BABY.

Maybe the Maloofs should ask Ron to pay a damage deposit?

Yeah, but I don't think we'll get enough from his paychecks to finance the arena we're about to (most likely) not be able to get when he comes here and blows up again.

Did you like our offense with Peja this season?
Did the Kings were being an offensive envy on the NBA with Peja this season?

It worked real good for us to didn't it. I mean we got what, 2 rings out of it?? Oh, wait....no. The guys who win championships have tough players on their teams. Nevermind.

This is why I have been equivocating rather than spewing hate toward Ron -- the very real chance he was going to be a King soon.

Well, Bonzi has come around for us. Maybe Ron's turn.
One of the few level headed responses. For all we know, it was a miscommunication spun wildly by the media. It was a feeding frenzy last night and they could have jumped the gun. Ron said where he wanted to play (LA or NY), but he said he'd play where ever he was traded to. Did everyone forget that?

I hope he will stay and play so he is able to see exactly what type of fans Sacramento has. (although most now are still stinging from what happened yesterday) Give it time, this after all a game. Ron brings what this team needs.

I for one will try and be at his first game in Sacramento, and I will yell loud and applauded fervently.

OK this is getting extremely annoying. If this trade does go through now, I don't know if Artest will really be willing to come here and play hard or he'll just mope around and start requesting a trade again. Either way I'm glad he'll end up coming here, but I have a feeling nothing good will come out of this

Comparison "Loose ball" reactions....

Peja, "I felt my teammates were in a position to grab that ball so I deferred"
Artest, "I'm sorry I flattened that courtside woman's left breast, but I came to compete."

I don't hate Ron the person. And if he's coming here, I'll support my team and hiim a s amember of it. I just hated the idea of Ron coming to my Kings. That hasn't changed.
