Any news or videos on whiteside?

Any pics or blog about him? I wanna see how big he has gotten since he spent most of his time lifting weights during the season.
Also he should be way bigger than most power forwards! He's 7'1 built like a machine!

i added him on facebook. you can do the same. last time i asked why he isn't playing.. he said he was injured

I think with no NBA summer league this year Whiteside's progress could be further set back - hope not. Hopefully, if the injury is healed he can get go to a big mans camp or maybe AAU ball is an option - something worthwhile for his development.

I thought they havent decided on summer league yet.

In response to the story, NBA spokesman Tim Frank assured ESPN.com, "No decision has been made on summer leagues," but it sure seems like the chances of this summer's NBA-related activities going off without a hitch are grim.

Summer League will be tied to the CBA getting done. The NBA sponsors the summer league and all first and second round draft picks playing there belong to their respective teams. So I suspect the teams won't let their players go without a CBA as a bargaining chip. Too bad, the rookies really need the summer league experience as do second year players like Whiteside. He has been injured and I think even had surgery, not sure, but he was unable to play for several months.

Technically, if the rookie hasnt signed a contract he's not in the union. So it would be the 2nd +3rd year players that are excluded.

And any draft picks too as technically (tho' not actually, I think) they "belong" to their teams under terms of current CBA. However, I suspect the teams will do what they can to prevent any draft choices from playing anywhere before a new CBA is signed as they won't know what is salary nor terms of a contract. On the other hand I can see a non-NBA summer league like used to play at Long Beach State happening. But it's all a crapshoot for now.

Any news on Whiteside? nothing posted since April and nothing about his progress from the injury? Any clue as to what was the injury? Anyone seen him on a ball court?
