Any Interest in Kandi?

From ESPN Insider:
Aug 26 - According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said there has been some talk about trading center Michael Olowokandi. However, Taylor said he couldn't see that happening unless the Wolves picked up another big man.

Skinner's salary is compatible with Kandi's in a trade. The obvious advantage of that is Kandi is in a contract year and has much better size. I doubt the Wolves would bite unless the Kings throw in a pick.

Would you do it?

I'd like him here, I think Sac would be a breath of fresh air and a good change of scenery.

The guy isn't a scrub or bad player, just that his two seasons with Minny has been hampered by some behavior problems and I guess an injury or two.

I'll take Skinner over Kandi. Sure you can't teach size but Kandi has never lived up to any expectations and is very inconsistent. Skinners hustle and running the floor are levels above the Kandi man.

I don't think they'd do it for Skinner though. They'd have to change their big man situation around.

No way.. Hasn't played a full season in 3 years because of injuries. Been inconsistant every year except one, and as stated above "garbage". No thanks!

He was the number one pick, chosen over Bibby!! (and Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Jason Williams, Dirk Nowitzki, and Paul Pierce) HA!! Clippers rule.

Not that any of the disappointments are his fault ... but, he's been over-rated since his days at UOP .... then getting the #1 draft

Way too much expected of Olowakandi ... he could never live up to how GREAT EVERYONE ELSE THOUGHT HE SHOULD BE.

Well, I was going to just type "no, no and no" but thought about it for a second. This is the last year of his contract and at $6M I could see trading him for Kenny Thomas just to get out of Kenny's contract in the long term. Other then that, no way.

My most hated player in the NBA on the kings? No thanks. If I see that confused look on his face when he messes up and then he bites on his lip again, I'm going to break the TV.

Big man with some skills and an expiring contract is never a bad thing. Worht looseing Skiner? not sure, But I'd trade Kenny in a heart beat. Heck maybe GP can send a tape of Corless at the 5 to McHale to convince him to take him in trade?

Only as a way to shed Corliss or Kenny's contract. I do not trust him, think he has rougly a zero basketball I.Q., and would not want to trade away our only legitimate backup big (Skinner) to get him. But if we can dump a smaller man with a longer contract, get a 7-footer with some shotblocking and rebounding skills, get an ending contract, and still have Skinner around to pick up the ball when Kandiman inevitably drops it? Sure.

How bout spelling another hard name like tam doncun? Or kvain grarneth? Or shaque? Haha.

Does that mean you would pass up on Zydrunas Ilgauskas? ;)

(...yes, I had to copy/paste the name from nba.com :D )
I can just type "Z", so I'd take him.
