Another Rubio Trade Rumor

The first trade doesn't even make sense.

OKC trades their 3rd for the 1st pick, straight up? I'd think they need to give away a key player, such as Nick Collison or even Jeff Green, to get this done--this is mostly based on Griffin's value.

Dallas trades Kidd for Davis and Camby? If this were 2007, it would be a ripoff. Kidd to me actually has little trade value--he's aging, deteriorating on all edges of his game--seems like he's on his last legs and waiting to hop on a bandwagon for a contender, and that's definitely not the Clippers. Davis has a fat contract and may steal money because he's sitting out games with injuries, but when healthy (which is almost never), he's far better than Jason Kidd. Camby has value as a shotblocker and rebounder, and with his expiring contract I don't think the Clippers would just pry him loose for Jason Kidd.

The Clippers get fleeced as usual. Not surprising. Who wants to give up a former All-star stat stuffer, former defensive player of the year, and the #1 pick for the #4 pick and a deteriorating past triple double machine? Not worth it.

That did not seem to be terribly credible. Do not know the site, but its got an amateur internet fan type feel to it.

Nothing wrong with us amateur internet fans BTW, you just take it with a grain of salt if we claim we've got an inside scoop on a major trade. ;)

Kidd is a free agent. He would have to agree to any sign and trades.

This is just a site that people can go on and make things up. No credibility.

In order for the salary to match, the Clippers will have to pay Kidd $20 millions/yr! Well, I guess that solves the problem of Kidd only wanting to play for a championship-caliber team. ;)

According to the site, Bleacher Report articles are written by "fans like you." In this case, the fan in question is Barvik Dahji, who is:

Im a 15 year old teenager. Currently live in BC Canada. I am currently enrolled in high school at grade 10. Been a Denver Nuggets fan since basketball was introduced to me.

I've posted this for clarification purposes only. Take his "report" with whatever grain(s) of salt you deem appropriate.

This isn't a rumor; this is no more or less than a fantasy trade idea. And, as some of you have already noted above, it's pretty much based on a bunch of very shaky hypotheses.

:D

Wow, so for all the times we've complained an article sounded like it was written by a fifteen year old fan, this time it's literally the case! :D

Sorry everybody

No problem at all. I only dug into it a little because I thought it was a pretty bizarre trade scenario...

:)

I hate to scare you, but this may be where modern journalism is headed. :(
