I honestly do not find this entertaining. It's an ego thing for the players.

The only time they will play any morsel of defense is in the last two minutes ... if it is close.

Niether of the all star teams got to 47 points in the first quarter. The Kings gave up 47 in an actual game to the celtics last sunday in the first quarter.
