Kapler lost this in the top of the 8th.

Also, manufacturing a run instead of letting Duggar hack away and strike out would’ve been better. I was saying that before he whiffed on strike three. Padres would’ve had the bottom of their order this time. You’re just trying to get over to the next one when you’re down 1. The chances of a multiple run big inning vs their closer is low. The computer should say that. Get the runner to third with one out. Bochy would’ve done that and Bochy would’ve won.

“The computer” doesn’t necessarily have as good as postseason success as “the gut”. This was a postseason style game. Giants played it like another game in my view.

Kapler lost this game twice. Kervin just K’d Tatis with ease. Then he takes him out. I’m so pissed about that Top 10.

Team that has won 22 of their last 28 complains that the opponents of their rival (who has won 21 of their last 28) aren't trying hard enough.

When LA’s opposing team pulls their ace after two, they’re not trying hard enough.

After he got beat around real solid in the second. And tomorrow the Padres are starting something called "Reiss Knehr".

In the month of September the Giants played 12 games against complete non-contenders and went 12-0. The Dodgers played 12 games against complete non-contenders and went 9-3, but somehow teams aren't playing hard against the Dodgers? It's just a dumb complaint.

5-4 against the Padres in September - when the Padres were contenders until the last series.

That’s extremely generous to call the Padres contenders. They’ve been free falling for a couple months at this point. They’re 12-33 since early August. I guess “contender” by technicality as they hadn’t officially been eliminated, but they’ve been dead in the water for at least a month.

Even better fun fact? They’re 4 for their last 21. All four wins have been against the Giants. Lma
