Aldridge: "I'm coming back"

All-Star
Dallas Morning News - LaMarcus Aldridge emphatically said, "I'm coming back," following a recent win.

"The NBA is not a concern right now," said Aldridge, who last month said that he sees himself as a four-year player at Texas. "We just have to keep winning.

"Our first goal was to win the Big 12, and we've done that. Now, we have to win the Big 12 tournament and go from there."

Interesting.

Sean May said this after the championship win, but that was likely different because McCants/Marvin/Felton/May all agreed together to enter the draft.

Regardless, I think this is one of those in-the-heat-of-the-moment things, and he ultimately comes out.

if he does plan on continuing college play, its not so good for the kings. the kings dont have a realistic shot of grabbing aldridge, but it does push a lotta draft picks forward if he pulls out, and if the kings make the playoffs, they're only gonna have so many chances to receive decent big man talent.

Don't be shocked if Petrie takes the most talented player at the time! May be a SG for all we know. Just have to wait and see.

The old "I'm coming back" comment. Of the hundreds of times I've heard college players say this, I can only think of one that actually followed through with this, and that was football with Matt Leinart.

The fact is when you are a projected lottery pick with guaranteed millions to be made, there is little incentive to sticking around college.

Yeah, once he gets those agents in his ear telling him how much he's worth, he'll change his tune. It's a long time from March to June.
