Should the Kings keep Adelman or fire him / let him go after season ?

Entry Word: snide
Function: adjective
Text: not following or in accordance with standards of honor and decency

Not sure what was so 'snide' about that comment. Maybe it wasn't the right place to put it, but it is simply stating the fact. And I really did think the thread was as a joke, but apparently (and sadly, to me) seems like I was wrong.

In my mind, the real question is, "Is Adelman willing to stay," and if he is, there's not even a debate.

I wish the Maloofs would be as bold about keeping Adelman as they were about pursuing Artest... I mean, going after Phil Jackson, with nine titles under his belt, is understandable, but at least man up and clear the air with Rick. It's really troubling when Rick says things like 'They haven't talked to me yet, I don't know what's happening.'

Last time I checked Merriam-Webster was pretty good.
BTW. The results of the poll are as frightening as I expected.

Since Artest came I have chnaged my tune, KEEP him!

(but I still think he should play Skinner at C and Miller at PF).

I have obviously always been a relative Adelman booster, but I do have to say that this recent surge in support for him has caught even me a bit by surprise.

I'm assuming its the Artest acquisition which has swung things and if so then I am actually fairly impressed with the people that have changed their minds about Rick staying, because I think having him as an Artest handler really may end up being critical.

If Artest stays, and Adelman and Artest have a good working relationship, I believe that this team will get better.

It would be unfair to grade Adelman solely on Artest's sanity level though. Artest is still in honeymoon mode, I expect him to do some destructive things sometime in the future. The knee-jerk reaction should not be to ditch Adelman for failing to provide day-care 24/7.

I say we wait until the end of the season, then make a decision based on the assumption that if we resign Adelman as coach, there will be continuity.

Even before Artest came, we weren't going to get anyone better. Adelman has won everywhere he's been. Now with Artest, I'd argue that we NEED him.

I'd keep Adleman and get rid of Yoda.

If they are a package deal, lose Adleman.

Ron is in town. There is no coach in NBA better equiped to deal with Ron Ron then RA. The exact opposite from Carlisle. Consequntly, our best chance of getting the most out of Ron is to keep RA.

I think your right.

yeah but we don't have a say

Come on, piksi...

Public opinion does play a part in business decisions. While as far as I know, NONE of the decisions are actually determined by what the message boards say, message boards are all about discussing, debating, arguing, voting, etc. on things our favorite team or player may or may not do.

This poll isn't any different from debates about who we should play at a particular position on a given night, who Petrie should aim for in the draft, who the Kings should trade and under what conditions, etc.

I do think the message boards serve as reflections of the fan base they represent more often than not.

Maybe my memory is not good anymore but I don't remember us asking to go from 52 - 30 to 30 - 52 in a year.

Clearly, "they" couldn't care less what we think or want - but that is just me.

For christ sake - we "almost" ended up having Phil Jackson as a coach this summer. Talking about travesty.
