A Kingsfans Tribute 2006

Bricklayer

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
Well, the vets of this board may well remember the Kingsfans Tribute Project of 2004 (technically not completed until 2005 ;) ).

It was a scramble, but with the passion back I thought it was about time for a new one.

I had a partially completed one done for 2005 (for which there was a trailer), and with the Spurs looming again, was able to salvage some of the same work and ideas while updating and adding in all of the new stuff.

As usual for these things, I apologize ahead of time for the people I've missed (including all of you dweebs without avatars! grrr... ;) ), and for anybody who I've misplaced geographically or genderwise, but hey, its the 21st century and that stuff doesn't really matter anymore right? :p

The first link is to the file streamed.

The second link here is to the main page with all of these things I've done over the years. On the right side are the 2006 entries. There is a streaming option if you have a good connection speed (Flash used to fall off of time during streaming, which was a problem, but seems to have gotten much better in recent versions), and a zip file for download with the main file and an html page to run it. Its 7+mb.

Here ya go. Enjoy!

Part I

Kingsfans Tribute 2006 -- Streamed

Kingsfans Tribute 2006 -- Main Page

Part II is already complete, but I need to prep it and put it up on the page tonight. Part III, the finale....eh...gonna be a scramble, but it looks good in my head. ;)

link is not working for me

Either one?

Gotcha, works on Explorer but you are probably using Netscape or some other more literal browser right?

Just tested on Netscape and di not work -- proabbly means a simple capitalization error. Should take only a couple of minutes to fix + upload.

Haha.. funny stuff especially Mike's reactions. The musical chairs were a nice touch. Waiting for the next part.

Yep, didn't work in Firefox or Opera. I had to dust out IE for this one.

Okay, should work in all browsers now -- just a slight extension glitch (firefox/netscape apparently get touchy about .htm vs. .html whereas IE doesn't care.

Great job, as usual, Brickie.

One problem ... I went to the main page and clicked on download for the zip file but ended up having it stream-fed to me over the past 30 minutes and I couldn't save it.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

And my download is now blistering along at a speed of light 3.54 KB/sec.

Whooooo!!!!

It says I only have a little more than 35 minutes to go. YES!!!

::VF21 goes outside and does a jig with the minions...;) ::

I'm just getting a blank black screen.

Hmm...

well, let's do the technical support thing again. ;)

1) I think it works now across all the main browsers. Are you using something other than IE, Netscape or firefox?

2) Does the second link to the main page work? What happens when you click on the "stream" link from that page (main)? What about the "download" link?

3) Do you have a version of Flash installed? Its pretty standard anymore, but just checking.

4) er...do you have your monitor turned on? :p

What am I holding at the end? And which poor soul was it jumping off the Tower Bridge?

Oh yeah, you're a dork!

EDIT: You just had to get shirtless Sergei in there, didn't you?

1) Firefox

2) Yes. I get connected to the main page and when I press stream I get a black screen, and when I press download, I get the zip file, but all that is containing is a foler that says Windows, which has a "Flash" folder, that goes to nowhere.

3) OOOOPS!!!! Forgot to do that. :p

I get the same issue with Firefox, 1.5.0.3 and 1.0.7. Right-clicking says "Movie not loaded..." I have the 8.0.24.0 and 8.0.22.0 versions of the flash player installed on those two Firefoxes, and I haven't had issues with other flash sites.

I did watch it with IE... very nice, but it just makes me fear that we'll all have to wait until 2008 or so to see how this drama concludes. :p

Edit: It works with this link: http://www.leighsilver.com/Kingsfans/Kingsfans_2006_I.swf

Note that in the page source it still says <embed src="Kingsfans_2005_I.swf" instead of <embed src="Kingsfans_2006_I.swf".

Thanks Brick! That had me laughing so hard!

Hey VF, I really like the pink hat you've got on up there in the woods! Looks like you turned Bambi into a Kings fan, too! ;) :D

I was wondering the same thing. It has to be piksi, right?
Great job Brick, worth the wait:D

G3 - Isn't it a whip?

OHSacFan - All the creatures in the forest, referred to as my furry minions, are Kings fans. Either that, or they're dinner.

Wow! I thought Brick was just a web-bot that auto-posts grades or is triggered by fanboi posts, but this sudden display of artristry and spontaniety has me buffled!?

Let's see if "old" Brick still works:

- SAR deserved at least A+
- Pedja played hard
- Hedo >>> MJ

Great job Brick. ;)

Great job Brick. ;)

If you really want to test it out, just mention something about the 2002 team's defense.;)
