Hey all....
Just thought I'd share something to pass the time.
In honor of March Madness, we have unveiled the latest faux bracket...the 80's movie bracket.
The response has been very passionate, and I wanted to pass it along. Feel free to vote, but the fun comes from discussing amongst yourselves.
PS: I tried to figure out a way to do this without making it seem like I am trying to draw traffic, so if there is a way just to post it here, feel free to copy and pop it up somehow. So for lack of a better idea, if you do visit the site for the brackets, stop immediately after, and return to kingsfans.com
thanks

Hey all, welcome to our 2nd annual bracket madness at the CDS. This year's subject was a special one, and very close to my heart. Most all of us have a special relationship with many 80's movies...
Because of the passion regarding this subject, many will question the seeding and/or inclusion of some films. We stayed by a general principle that the movie needs to have an 80's STYLE and FEEL to it...We also tossed ET, most Sci-Fi in general, and tried to stay away from sports pieces as we will have a sports movie bracket in the future.
The Outsiders and Stand by Me got exceptions because of the overwhelmingly 80'sness of the casts. Although Back 2 the Future was set primarily in the 50's, MJ Fox had a Huey Lewis and the News "Sports" poster on his bedroom wall, and that makes it automatically 80's.
If you look hard enough, you will find holes in the rules. We stayed away from sports pieces, but included Wildcats. We stayed away from Sci-Fi, but included SpaceBalls. It happens. If you don't like it, make your own bracket. Sometimes, you just gotta go with your gut.
