Yeah, when the hell does Reggie start to admit that Garcia is just an athletic chucker that's no better than most NBADL starters?(hell, there's guys on the bench that are smarter players than ole' Cisco.)

Slow down; ninety-nine percent of the kids in the DL are there for a reason. Garcia may have the basketball IQ of a turnip, but he's probably still better than nearly everybody, if not everybody, in that league.

Well, if he's not careful, he'll end up there playing with the likes of former 1st round picks Maurice Ager and Kedrick Brown.

I don't hate anybody. As far as I can tell, Justin isn't even on the team any longer. I just figure there must be a reason.

I used to think that way, but too many times the reason turned out to have nothing to do with player potential. Sometimes they don't play Gerald Wallace simply because they can't see past next week.

Gerald Wallace was here when we were the best team in the league.

Our starters today wouldn't have started on that team. Except Bibby.

Right. Of the players we started today, none of them are the caliber of, say, Gerald Wallace. The only one of them who is both kinda athletic and a competent defender cannot dribble and chew gum at the same time. Because the owners and front office couldn't think about any future except a championship followed by endless momentum. So they didn't plan for anything else.

And that I can handle. What I can't handle is not planning for the future when we suck. And it's not just Justin, it's a whole lot of things. Justin just fits into the same pattern as the Mikki signing and all the rest. "Win now." The front office's failure to learn from experience has me as hopeless about the future of the team as I've ever been. And from someone who survived Theus->Richmond, that means something.

Because the owners and front office couldn't think about any future except a championship...

And wasn't it the mindset of pretty much every Kings fan, too? Sorry, but hindsight is 20-20. It was great when the team was winning but a few misfortunes and now, all of a sudden, it's bad that they were planning for a championship?

Planning for success is fine. I plan on buying groceries later today, and have every reason to believe that I will retrieve them without incident. But that doesn't mean that I leave my driver's license at home and cancel my auto insurance.

It's always a bad thing to have no "Plan B."

Numerous fans were well ahead of the Maloofs immature philosophy through those years. Planning for a championship is fine and dandy, thinking you are entitled to one, that it is going to be easy, that you are smarter than everybody else and are not subject to the NBA's life cycle like everybody else was and remains childish, and we are paying for it now.
