I don't have time to do a full and proper thread so here is the bare bones edition.

AWARD TIME

TDM goes to Eddie House even though I didn't like how he shushed the crowd repeatedly

LW-VC belongs to Tony Allen

The Heimlich Award goes to the Kings offense
-------------------------------------------------------------
76ers are next and they really shouldn't be a challenge at Arco. Especially because they don't know what a 3 pt line is on offense or defense
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ron - come one. stop forcing shots
Beno - come on. stop forcing shots
Salmons - come on. stop forcing shots
Mikki - come on. stop.
Brad - come on. start taking shots

Hawes - meh
Cisco - come on. don't try to start something with KG.
Jones - you got destroyed by Rondo on an iso. he talked crap and got a T. Its a new defensive stategy.
Douby - probably one of the better players on the floor
Justin - meh
rest - whatever

Coach T - down 4 in the 4th quarter and the guys couldn't run an offese worth crap
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
AI2 and Andre Miller are they guys to worry about. Louis Williams is my favorite for a TDM and the LVC will go to Dalembeast.

we needed this type of team to come in.

we should probably have a chance in this one
Maybe...hopefully we dont come out too flat after tonight's game. The 'other' AI and Korver, not to mention Andre Miller, will shove that down our throats and make us pay for our lethargy. Oh well, hope for the best, I geuss.

Gotta win this one if we even want to be a little joyful when mike bibby and Martin come back, i still have faith that we can make a run at this playoff thing. I know i may seem crazy but if we win this game we will be 12-16 and martin sounds like he may come a little early, and mike is targeting the 15th of january. So if we can continue to compete and win a couple here and there, who knows what we are capable of doing when we are 100%.

I know Chances definitely are that we end up not making it of course so im not completely delusional, i just know that we arent as bad as some think, thats all.

After tonight's games, #8 Portland will have had their 12th consecutive win (Minnesota's visiting), and will be .586 (17-12), i.e., they're headed towards a 48-win season. If we assume a win tonight, and a loss versus Phoenix, then we'd have to go 37-16 (.700) for the rest of the year to end up with a 49-win season.

Out of topic but spurs waived darius washington. Hmm another spurs pg that's no good for them, maybe he's good for us!! haha right go kings!

As far as the whole Eddie House shushing the crowd thing, yeah, was it annoying, but damn...he knows that we suck now, and that we arent filling Arco like we used to and we lost our edge, I can remember plenty of times when our players in years past did the same thing, and it really rubs salt in the wounds of fans like myself, but oh well, we suck, what more is there to say when you score 69 pts?? And there's nothing more than we, as fans, can do about it...we just have to accept it and take our lumps, I guess...hopefully we still HAVE a team here in a a couple years.

Oh good. The "hopefully we still have a team here in a couple years" doom and gloomism.

I guess I'm in the minority because I couldn't possibly care less about what Eddie House didn't or didn't do... He can act like he's all that and a bag of chips but he's NOT the real reason the Celtics are 24-3 right now. I think he needs to grow up.

Eddie House is a scrub who can't stay with one team, forget anything he does.
But, he might get something that we as Kings fans have never witnessed in our fair city...an NBA Championship, kinda like Mitch Richmond did in 2002 with 'that one' team. I'm sure that if you ask any journeyman player in the NBA if they wanted to be a 'scrub' on the bench of an NBA title winning team for a year or two, you'd get a resounding YES. Gravytraining isnt anything new in sports. It just sucks that our gravytrainers(or starters, for that matter), will never share the same joys of winning a ring...sure, you can knock the likes of the Greg Kite's and Jeff Lamp's of the NBA world...hell, we can even make fun of Luke freaking Walton and Mark Madsen of recent...but all these guys have something we dont: rings...and that's the ultimate comeback in any argument, am I not right?

And so what if he does get a ring? It's about a lot more than a hunk of jewelry. Only one team a year can win the title.

And I don't think Luke Walton has a ring, does he?

i wouldnt call eddie house a scrub, i liked him when he was in sacramento and i like him in boston.. hes one of the best shooters in the league, even is thats all he can do hes not a scrub

Eddie House is a hired gun. He's been on numerous teams performing adequately but never quite good enough to be kept.

OMG ron artest is out with a bone chip in his elbow but they dont know the extent of the injury, he wont play tonight for sure reported by Gary Gerould radio voice of the kings. Are you kidding me!!!!???

Odds makers had Kings favored by 4. With Artest now out I wonder if that two bucket line could hold up. Cisco and Salmons are going to have to really get after A.I.(the other) or it could be a long night at Arco.

I think people may be surprised. The Sixers had a game plan in place with Artest as a key part.

Anyone want to re-think their wagers on how many games the Kings will win this season, now that Ron is out?? lol I had said 37-39 wins, but not...we're back to Mussleland without Artest.

No word on how long Artest will be out, how serious the bone chips are, etc.

Beno with 11 pts in less than 7 mins. I guess he likes looking over at the thin bench, with his backup starting, and knowing he'll likely play 40+ mins tonight. 30 pts for Beno sounds good, but I'd rather have 20 and 10 assists.

If they're just floating around and can be scoped out with the usual simple procedure it's normally not long. I'd say a week to 10 days if nothing serious. Knowing how tough Artest is I'd say not long at all.

We are going to run out of players if we keep losinh them to injury. I wonder if we will play a game before the all star break with all of our starters healthy. Beno is doing a great job! I wish the draft was better this ear.
