Good fight. No team out west is winning without two starters or their best player - even OKC would be screwed eventually.

The Kings probably would’ve been better off just isoing Deebo every possession down the stretch tbh. All our offensive sets and swing passes would up turning into Trey Lyles open airballs.
Sad truth. If I'd have know that tre was going to take the shots and not Murray or Jake. I'd have agreed. By the time Murray got to touch the ball, 10 possessions went by

Murray doesn't give the impression that he wants shots down the stretch and they take a guy out who will take them with confidence at a high % in Keon.

this team is not fun to watch in the slightest other than when watching Keon, Carter and Murray defend. Monte it's on you to fix this.

I hate being a Debbie Downer but damn this team really sucks the life out of you sometimes. By my count this is the 5th game we just fissed away. Two Denver games, this one, the Clips game and the Pistons game. I’m sure I’m forgetting one. We now play:
Boston/Thunder on a back to back. Followed by Portland, Orlando and the Pacers. The most likely outcome is 1-4 or 2-3. Either of those outcomes and we are probably down to the 10th seed with the Mavs right on our heels. They have an insanely easy schedule left and the Brow is coming back. Had we won just 2 of the 5 games I mentioned we are in a much better place

Just checked the schedules again. Suns have an insane finish to the year. They will probably be lucky to win 39 but the next 4 will probably tell all. Dallas has some easy games but then a bit tougher in April. Portland could go 7-3 to finish the year. Believe it or not, that game against them could decide their season

I think Kings are an "easy team to read" for the opponents, like it happened against the Bulls they read our offense early on and after a good start we tend to struggle. That "bad 3rd quarter" has happened at least a dozen times this season, also our defense and those corner 3s keep killing us since... 2 years ago. We had some good games defensively with Valanciunas filling the paint with his width but when facing centers that can stretch the floor (Vuc, Brook) there is a big issue since he is slow going outside the paint to guard them. Yesterday White today Giannis caught fire in the 2nd half (3rd quarter) after a "silent" first half.

Bucks missed many open 3s early in the game, but we keep letting them open and of course they started hitting them.

IJ should have played a bit to match Giannis and be a threat with his athleticism in the offense as well. Lyles shots down the stretch were OMG, not even close to making them. LaVine, Deebo are not ball handlers, without Monk there is nobody setting them up in offense and to expect from them to score ISO points the whole time is too much. With Monk the situation doesn't change that much either. LaVine seems to be not in good condition mentally somehow, dont want to speculate like the other time, but he doesn't look good and not getting whistles makes things worse.

Huerter started with 1/12 3s for the Bulls and has 44/110 after (just shown, btw the Bulls are crashing the Lakers)

The Bulls are doing their best to screw up our second round pick position too. I think they are going to go 6-5 the rest of the way and pass the Spurs. That will likely land us at 40 which is still good.

what a year

I’ll always be a Doug Christie fan..hell, I still like Vlade even though his GM stint set the franchise back indefinitely.

but Doug isn’t long term head coach material. He’s been frequently out coached. His rotations are often poor. Then the games best player on the Kings side doesn’t close?

I think it’s safe for Kings fans to start discussion on who the Kings should look to coach the team next season. But perhaps first who the next GM will be.

fact is, if the Kings wanted Zach LaVine, they could’ve had him for Harrison Barnes and other assorted salary filler this past offseason. No picks. Possibly could’ve had picks in return just to relieve the Bulls of his deal.

The fact that less than a year later he’s the center return for the most tradable player the Kings had when we already had DeRozan shows our GM is out of ideas and won’t be employed for the next coach. He shouldn’t have been employed to do the Fox trade tbh.
