Did Keegan secure the rebound?
premature AND a jinx
Watching this game in real time, you couldn't have convinced me that Edey only has 12 and 8.
Ok I appreciate the answer. So more than likely he is gone... dang. Really liked the guy.Not a finances problem. A stupid "cap rule" problem because the Grizzlies declined his option.
Best we can hope for is a 1+1 for 5 mil/season. Essentially say "Hey, take your 4th year rookie deal money, get some injury protection with a fifth year or if things go horrible and go hit FA a year later after fully proving he's a starting caliber wing"

I thought, would it be possible for the Kings to get another team to sign and then trade Lavia back to us for one of our players?Maybe. He's a bit of a really weird scenario; basically 2 first lost years with injuries, MEM declines the option prior to this year because of that... and yet he proves he's actually an NBA player this year and looks like he'll have long-term staying power. I can't really remember a situation like his where the rookie who gets the their contract declined actually ends up being really good that same season.
I'd be pretty surprised if he got a big deal this off-season. Something like what Highsmith/Caleb Martin got, somewhere between 5-9 mil/season seems like a reasonable projection for what he'd get. And while I REALLY like what he brings, we're still talking about a guy with:
4.9 PPG
2.9 RPG
1.3 APG
49% TS
in a Kings uni. He's had some huge spike games, but he's also had quite a few where he was just straight invisible out there.
DC calls a timeout and goes straight to Monk for that "flashy" pass he tried to make
Monk has shot less than 30 percent from 3 in 2025. He was due for a good shooting night
Remember when we were going to lose Harry Giles?Maybe. Murray with his twelfth double-double of the season. He had twelve in his first two seasons combined.
