Will Monk make Collins go bananas like the good old days?
I also have no idea how that Dylan basket was taken away... after the challenge too.

I'd be curious how many 6 time all-star/5-time All-NBA aren't in the Hall.
My Internet-Fu may have failed me but, as near as I can tell, there are three guys in NBA history who have made at least 6 All-Star teams and 5 All-NBA teams who are eligible for the Hall of Fame that are not in:
  • LaMarcus Aldridge (7x All-Star, 5x All-NBA)
  • Amar'e Stoudemire (6x All-Star, 5x All-NBA)
  • Blake Griffin (6x All-Star, 5x All-NBA)

Additionally, these players have made at least 6 All-Star appearances, but less than five All-NBA appearances**:

  • Joe Johnson (7x All-Star, 1x All-NBA)
  • Shawn Kemp (6x All-Star, 3x All-NBA)
  • Jermaine O'Neal (6x All-Star, 3x All-NBA)
  • Larry Foust (6x All-Star, 0x All-NBA)

And one player with at least 5 All-NBA appearances but fewer than 6 All-Star appearances:

  • Kevin Johnson (3x All-Star, 5x All-NBA)

** Larry Costello was a 6x All-Star, 0x All-NBA selection who is in the Hall of Fame, but not as a player.

Monk's joy on the court is so infectious. For these guys to somehow be smiling and liking each other, that's a credit to them and the coach in this bleak situation lol

Nice lil drive and dish by Carter!

Edit: no so much that second one but I like the aggression haha

I think one big thing to take away is he's getting to the rim pretty much whenever he wants. Broke down the defense again for the lay-up attempt that Cardwell cleaned up easily. I think 4 paint touches in 5 minutes?

Now eventually, he'll have to start making mostly positive plays out of him breaking down the defense. But that's why game reps are so important; the more he gets to see NBA defenses and adjust, the better he hopefully gets.

Predictably, Russ/DDR come in with him, and he's moved off-ball.

Nothing wrong with role player at where he was picked. I think expectations for him were "glue guy with solid defense". Every team needs players like that.
Like, in what universe is getting a 10+ year roleplayer with the 24th pick a bad thing?

I can't think of any broadcaster I'd rather have introduce Dylan Cardwell to a national audience than Eric Collins.

EDIT - Whoops!

Maxime: 14:35
Nique: 12:42
Cardwell: 11:58
Dev: 6:24

Need more Dev, but for the 2nd game, seeing good playing time for the young guys.

I didnt say it was a bad thing. But we are featuring him it seems more so that role playing like we did Ellis or Carter.

Just not getting my hopes up of anything more than role. But he just hit a 3 so maybe hes a superstar again lol
