50 for Amarè since the ex-King Tony Delk!

Wow, 50 points for Amare and he is still 22 yrs old....

But good to know Tony Delk who scored 53 pts is still the highest point total by a Phoenix player since Tom Chambers (60 pts) in the 80's...The ex-BenchMob!:) I think Delk is the only player i know that is not an all-star type of player who scored 50 point or more! I'm not sure....

Anyway, Amare is playing MVP type this season...Along with LeBron and Wade! Not bad for the two sophomores and a Junior in the league! These 3 would be the next upcoming generation superstars in the NBA, no doubt...

Barkley scored 56 in a playoff game in 1994, fwiw.

I think Kevin Johnson was very close in the playoffs in 94 or 95 against the Rockets. Can't remember if he actually hit 50.

I'd like to see how many dunks Amare had to get his 50 points. I know from the highlights that it seemed as if only one or two of his shots were not dunks. The guy just has crazy athleticism, and if he's in the paint below the dotted line, he's dunking the ball.

How long til the Suns stop getting away with playing Amare at center and Marion at PF? I'm suprised it's worked out so well for them. Not that I mind, Amare's doing quite well for my fantasy team ;)

If they play the Twolves, Kings or Spurs in the playoffs. They will be fine against just about any other playoff team from the West with their lineup...Sonics, Mavs, Rockets, and Lakers don't have a traditional PF / C combo to speak of that is anything to worry about, so the Suns should be fine against those teams, although if I were a Suns' fan I would worry about Amare's lack of rebounding...how is Marion leading that team in rebounds?

True, but they will have to play one of those teams once they reach the 2nd round of the playoffs, if not earlier.

That's a good point, although there are probably scenarios where the Suns could play Houston or LA in the first round, then face the Sonics in the second round, and not have to face any of the Kings, Spurs or Twolves, depending on upsets, etc. It will certainly be something to watch as the season progresses and the quality teams of the Western conference put some distance between the lower-seeded playoff teams.
