Mister Slim Says: Even pro-tanking people shouldn't want the team to lose literally all the games, and last night was a big win for morale. Sacramento is one of only two teams in the NBA to have three or more 5+ game losing streaks this season, so last night's win was a much-needed palate cleanser.

Up next are the damnable lakers, who are expected to be without Austin Reaves, but didn't have him when they spanked the Kings just over two weeks ago. Raynaud, Clifford and Cardwell all played well in the win against Houston; hopefully we'll see more of that tonight, with a little more Ellis (and maybe Carter?) mixed in.

I don't care what anyone says, can't nobody make me hate LeBron James, BUT... I will always be on "**** the gd lakers" time so, as the saying goes: Love fades. Hate endures.

Beat LA.

It was between Batman and Motown for me. Honestly the dropoff was so steep I think the stupid Miley song would have taken third because it is a bop. People that follow my taste in music may (or may not?) be surprised that I am just not a Zep fan.

That was intentional, and I almost left Motown off the list for that same reason. I dislike including poll choices that are "too obvious."

My goal is to figure out how to create a poll that occupies the "sweet spot" that makes people want to engage with the question while also having no "good" answers.

I know that's your MO but in this case a lot of stuff you mentioned is a really big deal for other people that aren't me.

"You just summed up your entire sorry career here in one sentence! If you had a tenth of the heart of Ruettiger, you'd have made All-American by now!"
Of all the players to come out of Arizona that couldn't make the jump his story is maybe the saddest to me. He just does not seem to give a remote F. Never a good look for a #1 overall, and to this day he remains Arizona's lone first overall pick (they also had Derrick Williams and Bibby at #2 so mixed track record for their three highest draft selections).

But on the plus side he's kind of the main reason Arizona moved on from Sean Miller and has Coach Tommy Lloyd, so happy ending for Cats fans.

So nice of you, @Mr. S£im Citrus, to Google "what else happened on this day after 1981?" and includes the two extra options...
Oh, I saw a lot more options from after '81, those are just the only two that made the cut; I whittled that list to 9 down from, like, 29. I thought about throwing a couple of birthdays in there, but the birthday polls never give me the sort of responses I'm looking for.

I just checked it out myself.

You made the perfect list.
