IMHO it's going to take at least 3 years to get into the playoffs and up to maybe where these teams are. In the meantime, where do you propose we get all the caliber players we need to be these kind of teams. The Magoof brothers decimated this franchise and set us back years. Top rated FA players are going to be tough to get to sign here, as we found out this last summer. That leaves trades and the draft. We have few good players that would bring back better players, so that leaves the draft. I strongly disagree with your opinion that Ben was a "failure". No, he didn't make the rookie all star team, but he did really improve over the last month. I will predict that he possibly will become a much better than average SG in the next year or two. It is important that we draft players that in a few years will become better than the players they will replace.
Relax, Brick, we ain't going to the playoffs next year, but hopefully will win 40+ games. Success comes in stages, not overnight.
