Let the countdown begin! My all-time favorite show returns this Sunday and from what the Bee TV critic says, it's going to be a good season! The writers apparently got back to what made it so good to begin with - Jack Bauer, taking on the forces of evil to protect all of us. He's no longer in LA, though, so we won't have to pretend people can actually drive from anywhere to anywhere else in the course of one hour.

Yes! JACK IS BACK!!!

:D

And here are some random Jack Bauer facts:

2. There are two hands that can beat a royal flush. Jack Bauer's right hand and Jack Bauer's left hand.

5. It takes you 24 weeks just to watch what Jack Bauer does in a single day.

16. There are three leading causes of death among terrorists. The first two are Jack Bauer, and the third one is heart attack from hearing Jack Bauer is coming for them.

20. Withholding information from Jack Bauer is now classified as a suicide attempt.

:)

I'll be watching for sure. 24 is a sweet show, I watched the first season then stopped for whatever reason .. got back on board last season and Im hooked again.

With all these new tv show threads, I may have to start one for LOST .. I know there are some other lost fans on the board...

I guess its too late for an office one, as that show already premiered this season, either way office, lost and 24 are going to take up a good chunk of my nights the next few months...

So, you are going to wait the entire season is over just to watch it on dvd just because you missed the first show?

Um, I have the first season on my Blockbuster queue because I haven't seen any of them..... :o I like watching TV series on DVD after seeing Firefly that way. Much better w/o commercials, etc.

No doubt. That is how I watch Lost as well. You can stop in the middle of an episode and you never have to stop at the cliffhangers they always stop at. You do not have to wait a week plus for the next episode, no commercials. You stay more caught up with the plot and the overall experience is way way better.

And as you can see, I always ending up missing the shows anyway. TV is just not at the forefront of my brain. We often have our Netflix DVD's sitting around for weeks, waiting to be watched. I did watch the second half of the game last night though. That was saweet.

Okay, after watching the first four hours I'm truly impressed. The writing is back to being crisp and creative; the plot structure is complicated yet riveting; Chloe is as enigmatic as always and yet actually seems sane when compared to Janine Garofalo's character.

I've missed this show.

i watched the movie length 24 redemption

1. Keifer looks good and i mean fit if you look at him from previous seasons he was kind of stubby and he looks younger now...

2. the story is pretty interesting! cant wait to watch!

last time i watched one season...... i watched it around 6am i stopped at 6am the other day! lol

After watching four hours of Day 7 for the second time, I can say with absolute certainty the writer's strike actually helped 24. By not forcing a shortened version last year, they were able to take the time to get back to what works. Crisp dialogue, the Jack Bauer we know and love, clever plotting and all the rest have already put 24 as #1 on my DVR priority list...

I like Chloe and anti-Chloe. And does anyone else see the obvious Baueristic traits Special Agent Renee Walker has?

If you've got broadband, be sure and check out www.fox.com/24 for extra stuff. I've heard it's pretty good.

Im so happy Tony is back, He was a big reason why I liked the earlier seasons and a small reason why I stopped watching for a bit..

I have to disagree with the baur looking younger thing .. he actually looks like he's getting old to me.. which makes sense haha.

The first 6 hours ( redemption included ) have been pretty sweet, deffinelty going to continue to watch this season and till the show is done.

One more note - Ive always kind of liked the presidents to be 'bad guys' .. not sure if the new president can pull it off but time will tell .. she just doesnt seem like a strong actress to me.

I loaned Season 1 to a friend about 10 days ago. He's watched it, returned it, borrowed Season 2 and just returned it yesterday, turning it in for Season 3. I think he's hooked.

:p

I really like the pacing and writing of this season. It's back to keeping me on the edge of the seat, with twists and turns that really keep me guessing.

I have to admit - I was more than a bit worried about how this season would progress but I'm really impressed with the writing, pacing, etc. And I love the dynamic between Jack and Agent Walker. I'm still looking for the major knockdown fight between Chloe and Janice that just has to come eventually...

Having saved the world once "today," I'm glad Jack and Tony have enough daylight left to do it again.

This show is back on top, IMHO, and truly Emmy worthy.

I have yet to see any of the "good seasons" of 24, just the last 2 or 3 prior. This one is the best of any I've seen, though I wouldn't say Emmy worthy. I'm a bit worried about this next episode though and where it goes from here. Sometimes I wonder if this show would be better off as a cable series with a 12 episode run, but then they'd have to change the name of the show.

I still want to see the first season.

I think the hiatus may actually have made this show even better than it was before. The writing is incredible and the plot twists and turns but doesn't leave you totally dazed and confused.

I do wish they hadn't killed off one of my favorites but it at least made sense.

I detest Janene Garofalo ... and her character. I hope at some point Chloe smacks the crap out of her.

I detest the President's daughter. The dynamics between her and her mother are frustrating but understandable, at least from the president's side. The daughter needs to end up like her brother.

I'm glad they brought Aaron back. I always liked him.

So much has happened already and there are still about 10 hours left in the day!!

Update...I still detest Janeane Garofalo. I am even more impressed with the writing for this season. And, just for the record, I'm incredibly glad Chloe is back.

I didn't buy season 6 but I may have to just to keep my collection current because I'm already looking forward to buying season 7.

Jack rocks.
