Figured we should start one of these.

Not a whole lot of surprise in the first four games of the day (I suppose the Creighton stomping of Louisville wasn't exactly expected, but it was no seed upset). But at the half in game 6, #12 McNeese is absolutely pantsing #5 Clemson, and it's not flukey. McNeese is straight outplaying them at every aspect of the game and with a 31-13 score at half look to be moving on!

Not gonna lie. I had McNeese upsetting Clemson in my bracket but almost entire just because i figured there’d be an upset somewhere and Clemson has historically been shaky enough to be the upsetee but I didn’t expect them to come out of the gates this terribly lol

Pundits: The SEC is the best conference in the nation and deserves basically every team to get into the tournament, even if they went under .500 in conference.

Gonzaga: LOL

Clemson finally getting a few things to work and might get on pace to score one point per minute by the 30-minute mark of the game. Might.

Edit: No dice. 29 points in 30 minutes.

The good news: Clemson has scored as many points in the first half of the second half as they did in the entire first half

the bad news: their deficit has somehow increased to 20

Clemson can't miss threes, McNeese can't hit free throws, and this game might actually be in question

Jeremy Fears Jr. and his brother Jeremiah Fears were both fouled on a fast break within about a second of each other (in different games of course). I have to thank YouTubeTV Multiview for allowing me to witness this event which has obviously never happened before.

I gotta say to everyone who made the trendy Akron pick because they saw the last 5 minutes of the MAC championship and loves a good 4-13 upset YDKB.

I don't love this flawed Arizona team but playing a Big-12 schedule is the biggest challenge than they've faced since the end of Lute's career. I'll forever love the PAC but it wasn't just football that killed the conference and the teams that value hoops are probably better off in their new homes.

One of three factors, in my opinion. It was football, it was basketball, and it was the absolute ineptitude of the people running the PAC-12 media rights in establishing a national TV network like every other major conference.

They'll complain about the travel demands, but I guarantee you that the UCLA and Oregon hoops programs are as happy as the Wildcats to finally get a real conference schedule.

So for those who thought that inviting 14 SEC teams to the tournament was a good call, let's check where things stand after the first round:

Big Ten: 8-0 (1.000)
Big-12: 6-1 (0.857)
Big East: 4-2 (0.667, includes one First Four win)
SEC: 8-6 (0.571, includes one First Four loss)
ACC: 2-3 (0.400, includes one First Four win)

Honorable mention:
WCC: 2-0 (1.000)
Mountain West: 2-2 (0.500, includes one First Four loss)

Three cheers for the SEC, the "best" conference in college basketball!

I felt like commenting on that earlier but let it go since 4 games were still in progress. ACC is just shameful as well if Duke is all that is left.

Grats to the B1G on an impressive first 2 days though.

Walking NCAA Violation Will Wade has nearly completed his two-year exile to the Southland Conference and will be headed back to the ACC at the conclusion of this game or upon receiving his second technical, whichever comes first.

Pitino coached my Alma mater where I was attending when Calipari was cooking at UMass. I have a certain affinity for both even though they are scoundrels and as much as I love am upset I wanted St. J’s today.

Big Ten started out 10-0, but Wisconsin is having a lot of trouble with BYU and is trying their best to bust my bracket and end that streak.
