Marvin was and is far from a skilled big. And WCS was a defensive specialist and freak athlete. Bagley was certainly drafted more for his athletic potential than skill. Other than offensive rebounding (and maybe running/finishing in transition) he didn't have a single NBA ready skill.
Everything is a skill. He had the "Giannis" package according to Vlade and to some extent he does. He can dribble, post up, shoot, iso, be a big in pick and roll. In the end he's being used as a spot big mostly. Willie wasn't a skilled big or a production big, hence why I didn't include him but he was yet another example of fail but that draft was bad, bad, bad. Good example though. I wanted Winslow who has had injuries but brighter moments than Willie for sure.

I don't understand the Plumlee trade at all. Charlotte traded the 57 pick to move up to 37 + land Plumlee, who is an above average player on a relatively cheap contract?

It's Jordan though and Jordan loves those skilled centers and they have none right now. Charlotte would have to way overpay for one in FA. Plumlee at 8 mil per year for Detroit after just drafting a stud in Stewart was dumb. For the win now Hornets they get a 7 footer for less than the MLE.

They got Plumlee and a better pick for a worse pick. Plumlee is well worth his contract. I feel like I'm missing something obvious here because it seems to me like Detroit got hosed.

So essentially you're arguing that the Kings should never again in history draft a big?
