But yeah, seriously awesome spot for him. Clippers are going to be able to do some super fun stuff with George/Batum/Kawhi/Winslow
And Mann and Keon Johnson too. Of course Kawhi's probably going to miss most of the season anyways (opening night's only a little more than two months away) but the Clippers continue to amass every single wing they possibly can.

Ibaka/Zubac
Morris/
Batum/Mann/Winslow
George/Kennard/Johnson
Jackson/Beverly/Rondo

They don't necessarily have much top flight talent in terms of star power without Kawhi but they are ridiculously deep on the wings and have a strong defensive foundation to keep teams from just blowing them out. They do need another big man or two probably (re-sign Boogie?)

Me too. Still have my fingers crossed for Diallo.

Digging into Diallo a bit more, I'm hyped on him. He made real progress as a defender and finisher at the rim last year and he got the shooting to "just good enough" in limited sample with DET. With his physical profile/athleticism/age, he'd make an incredible upside investment for us.

Meh, what did you expect? What incentive do wings have to come to Sacramento when they can both get paid more or get a ring while rebuilding their value on a perceived powerhouse organization?

Yup. It's fun tracking FA but the only thing that is going to happen for us is through a trade.

That said, we should have money next year so if we can actually show improvement this season like we did in 2018-2019 before dumping the bed with Dedmon we might be able to sign someone useful next year.

I fully expected this and it was the main reason I thought drafting one was probably the way to go. Aggression has to be trades, and always was, so we'll see what goes down from here.

Are you sure?

Bagley's loot could be off the books but Holmes got a raise. Signed a lot of mini 2 year deals too.

And it might depend on these 2 year deals they signed everybody to not being guaranteed in the 2nd year. Hopefully there are some team options going on there.

Ham explained it last night on the Kings Pulse pod, but Kings can hold onto Fox/Holmes/Buddy/Barnes/Len/Harkless/Mitchell/Hali and have a near max contract offer available. Math works out with the cap going up like 7 mil and the Buddy/Barnes contract decreases essentially cancelling out the increases that everyone else makes.

That's without signing Bagley of course, but not too bad of a situation to be in. I still hope we make a serious run at one of these young players still available. Should be a real favorable contract and I think all 4 can be apart of the core moving forward.
